This post was edited 12 times, last edit by DeVouReR: Mar 17 2010, 3:52 pm.  Reason given: given mods the ability to suspend from their forums

Every human being on this earth is born with a tragedy, and it isn't original sin. He's born with the tragedy that he has to grow up. That he has to leave the nest, the security, and go out to do battle. He has to lose everything that is lovely and fight for a new loveliness of his own making, and it's a tragedy. A lot of people don't have the courage to do it.

You don't conform to W3 standards? Pfft.

You can implement the arbitrary rewards/elitism without removing minerals. Minerals allow games like Raffle and Magic Boxes to function. You want those gone? :omfg:

We conformed to W3 standards when we first opened. That has since been swallowed up by time.

There are, of course, other options for the mineral system. My choice is the simplest to implement and most difficult to fuck up.

Ripping out of the mineral system -- replace with random and criteria-based giveaways and elitism.

So basically, you're saying that mods, admins, ect. should give minerals instead of members performing specific tasks to collect them? That actually sounds like it would work.

I think a method such as the one posted below this sentance, would be a good improvement to SEN:
If somebody does something that any mod or admin, finds worthy of a reward, they are able to award that person with minerals, without dipleeting the mod/admin's. example: Key: 1=guy with question 2=guy who answered question 3=moderator

1 made a thread with a question. 2 made a post on that thread that makes 1 truely understand his question. 3 looks at 1's thread and sees what 2 did, so 3 rewards 2 with BLK minerals.

I gotta say, I think SEN did a helluva lot better when people were forced to post to get different colored names. I fully endorse this idea.

DM, get some self control. That's all you need, and you can easily refrain from acting like a btard.

This is a great wallpaper to use if you want to go into an epileptic fit every time you sit down in front of your laptop, which I guess is a better option than watching Naruto.

Yes, it is being worked on.

While I do love you, Shocko, I won't look at your pole because I'm not that kind of moose.

In my opinion it's much better that they are gone.
New registered users (and idiots) won't stop asking how you gain minerals because they want a special item from the store and when someone told them "by posting in the forums" they will start spaming (just like I did ages ago) -> hard / to much work for moderators / admins -> more users gets banned.
(darn am I happy that they didn't ban me)

Less Nullers getting rewards for nonproductive posting always sounds good to me.

You could always just get no minerals for posting in Null and the other non-sc related forums.

I think that these should be worked on next:

Expanded Melee Section.
Expanded SC2 Coverage.

Especially the 2nd.
