Is it possible to take a tile from, say... Jungle and put in into Badlands... through modding or otherwise? This hasn't been done before to my knowledge, so I was wondering if it is difficult to do so...
None.
Uh... I personally don't know how, but I read in a forum way back that you really couldn't do it unless if you were going to reprogram the game and make a new tileset that it would recognize which would be pretty fricken hard.
Idk maybe someone else knows more details about that, but that is the essence of it. I know it would be like making your own tiles to blend anyways.
None.
from what i can tell (after conducting rigorous testing) each tileset is organized similarly to the pallets given by the map editors starforge and scmdraft. Each tile in a set as a tile ID, whether this is a number, letter, or group of symbols, i dont know. the problem with mixing tilesets (IE, saving a custom brush from another tileset and using it in a new one) is that tiles in one tileset have the same ID as tiles in another tileset, which causes the custom brush loaded to just be the tiles with the ID's in the new tileset. For example, if you use tile 1 from badlands, save it as a custom brush, then load it in ice, it will use tile 1 from ICE, not tile 1 from badlands. This means that custom tiles are saved by ID, not by tile data. If a way could be found that saved the image, then when loading, it adds it with a new ID that isn't the same as any of the tiles already there, then it might be possible to use the tiles in other tilesets.

...no to me, or the question? no1 has told me whether my educated deductions (big words! yes!) are correct or not...
None.
why is there a 2nd topic about the same thing?
None.
Dude...this is the first topic...go ask the other guy why he made the exact same topic right after I made mine
Mods can merge topics if you want...
None.
Shouldn't this go in the modding section?
None.
Well, it's possible via mods.
Just modify any unused tiles tiles to use the same graphics as the tiles you want to use.
Hell, you could create custom tiles and blends that way.
None.
Just here for the activity... well not really
why is there a 2nd topic about the same thing?
It was on maplantis.

Look...I don't know wtf is going on...but it's really annoying how all the other topics sprung up right after mine...TCs of the other topics, if you are someone who knows me from elsewhere and this is some lame attempt at trolling me, you have failed. utterly. So let it be known, I posted this first and there only needs to be one topic on the subject.
None.
That's one ( relevant ) example you gave. Double-topics aren't that surprising for those questions that come to most peoples' minds early on. I don't really see why you mentioned the Maplantis one, though - their terrain forum has nothing to do with ours'.
edit: nevermind, saw the post above.
None.
Why don't you show us the RPG? It's most likely just one blend made to look like another tileset.
None.
Or he just doesn't know what he's talking about.
None.
or its sprites from anothe rtileset
None.
Ok, well I know tons of people always post topics like this, but it IS NOT POSSIBLE using just editors, you gotta use mods and crap.
