Clan Project I
CheF Arena



This Space is Reserved until after planning!







I've been trying to start a clan project ever since I started this clan. One of the members recently reminded me so I've decided to carry out with this. This will be one of many clan projects that I am hoping to accomplish. Anyways, since this is a clan project, it would need a lot of input from the clan members.

From this map, everyone will work on it together, but at assigned times with limited capacity. There will be restrictions to make the game play fair.
These are what will be set
-Each member can pick only 1 unit (Ground and moveable) No Doodads, sprites, resources, buildings
-Everyone will have the same amount of spells
-A lot of units will be recycled

Unit list will come soon (No one can pick any units yet)

Suggestions and Inputs are necessary to make this map work.
Some example questions, just to start things off.
What will the arena be like?
How will the gameplay be?
Is this like a SSBM arena where people have limited amount of lives and respawn? Or something else?
How many spells will everyone have?
etc.

So each of the members gets to pick one unit to modify? If this is the case then cool, but if it's not the case, then it should be.

We each get to pick one unit and modify it in a non-ridiculous manor. Then we each come up with 3-4 spells for our own unit.

Rine, either one shall be Me. 3-4 spells sounds good. I would like to see another Character building Arena map (Like Temple siege, but maybe more features). Multiple game modes including destroy the base, Capture the objective, Team Deathmatch, Timed Match.

Good...
for spells... direct damage with scarabs? Or creating lurker for a while under a unit so it fires 1? or what? Can we decide that by ourself?

-I would say that if its arena it should be space terrain.
-It would have to have custom/extended terrain.

#2 :: Lol? It's an Arena, not a "Find you enemy in less than 2 hours" map.
#3 :: I luv jungle, but if you want space I wouldn't disagree

You can do it anyway you want, as long as it doesn't use vHP. You can create tanks for damage, carrier, wraith, etc, and make it fancy.

Yeah, everyone will modify their own unit. The map size would probably be around the 192, but square maps are kind of boring, we'll see. The space terrain, I'm not too sure. The coloring is too dull and yes, we will use extended terrain. The clan's terrainers will do it based on how we conclude the way it will look. I think either jungle or badlands would be good, whichever one is used less.

I think it would be cool if, like temple siege, we base all of our spells around a paticular theme for each of our characters. DM mentioned he wanted an airstrike class. Maybe he could be some kind of special ops or something, it wouldn't make sense to have like 'Airstrike' and 'Water Wave' or something. Like make your spells be based to a character theme and not completely random.

Like everyone having a choice of their own made up class or being bound to limits of few? It's better for people to make up their own theme. It's Clan CheF Arena afterall.

Sounds cool to me. And I personally don't like TS, so, if my opinion counts, I would prefer to go the SSB route with some alternate game choices.

I would like to see a Mass Attack mode just for the lulz where you just spawn infinite units units someone can destroy the other bases.

That wouldn't work well since locations would be put upon hero units. If there were mass, you wouldn't know where to cast. But maybe. Wouldn't be much of an arena though.

If you want Mass Attack with spells still function, just change the target location to "Some air unit" owned by the player, and you will probably have to own the Chef Member's unit to cast the spell anyway so just add it to the conditions. Or we could have different spells for different play modes.

Also, just jotting down a note from echo, if mass attack drop all unit hp to 10%.

Map Specifications

256x256
Four Arenas, and "prep" areas (Hero selection, upgrades, etc...)

From there, you can select which game modes you'd prefer.

Example: Team 3v3, Individual 3v3, FFA, 4v4, Everyone vs Insane Computer, etc...

Everyone vs insane computer sounds like fun. Almost like Dynasty Warriors Player vs Computer but without the managing of the army, just the brutal onslaught with your hero.

Don't really need arenas for upgrades and stuff. We can just put it anywhere in map :P.
