Should we not use doodads? Last time I checked, doodads are terrain and so are sprites. Just because a piece is "sprite filled" doesn't make it any less of terrain. If the map has a problem with units attacking, I'm sure it wouldn't be a challenge to remove some sprites. Also, since when was anything in the terrain forum exclusive to extended terrain only? New things aren't necessarily better (or good-looking).

no dont get me wrong Fwop i have no problem with doodads, if youve seen any of my stuff it is very sprite filled. Anyway the winner isnt determined by me voting what i think is best, it is who everyone else thinks is the best.

Well, it's just that there seems to be such negativity towards sprites. It's getting a little irritating, not trying to point you out or anything.

Sprites from other tilesets dont often work well with the current tileset for logical reasons.

The palletes don't mix. When would you see a glowing snowed on tree in a jungle?

Lolno :P Besides, if I want to add it to the compilation, I don't want to have to replicate each piece, so can everyone post their maps? It'd be a great addition to the compilation, and if you have any maps from the older contests, post those too plz.

Poor use of sprites makes the piece look ugly. The terrain itself can only be judged by the person viewing it, and not its creator. What some deem as "Shit", others deem as "Kickass".

MNeox's and DeVouReR's both crashed on me. I don't know about anyone else, but terrain that crashes me fails to be of any worth. What is the point of terrain if you can't even see it in-game?

I did not updated SCMDraft now, so maybe Neox also didn't... maybe the new version doesn't a specific sprite

a new version of SCMDraft2 was released some days ago, right? (it had a portal news)
I did made the terrain with an older version, so if you use the updated (current) version scmdraft may has forbidden some sprites, which cause it to crash, understand?
