We received news today from an anonymous source from inside Blizzard, confirming that development of StarCraft 2 will be largely postponed until Blizzard's recently announced, and long-awaited Diablo 3 is ready for the market.
[Starcraft 2] is still being worked on, but only by a minuscule amount of people compared to what [Blizzard] put on the Diablo 3 team.
This has yet to be confirmed officially by Blizzard, and I personally doubt they will respond. Because this information was leaked unintentionally through a casual conversation with one of our staff members, we can not reveal the name of our source publicly - so to protect this individual and his/her position within Blizzard. Nor can we say that this came directly from Blizzard.
Nonetheless, this may be good or bad news to you. Personally, I don't mind - both games are equally sought after in my opinion.
We will do all we can to keep you updated with the latest.
Wow.... Kidding me? Oh well, Starcraft 2 looks like crap anyways, So I rather play Diablo 3 first.
None.
SC2 looks better then most. So does D3, but we're all waiting for SC2.

Can you give us the source of that info?
None.
It's on digg.com and battleforums.
None.
My friends told me SC2 was coming out this december. And that you can already pre-order it from like gamestop or something.

Your friends are idiots who believe everything they read (ie: arbitrary release dates posted on terrible game vendor websites). But I'm sure you already knew that.
D3 won't be out before SC2, SC2 is further along development than it (Blizzard has even stated that a couple times - I think the 2nd to last podcast being one of them).

They're worked on by entirely different teams, so they wouldn't pull people off one to go to the other... Their 'anonymous leak' probably doesn't work for Blizzard, and probably doesn't exist.
Wow. Blizzard are assholes.
None.
SC2 will be out before D3.
EDIT:
Really.
Currently Working On: My Overwatch addiction.
We'll see. Blizzard is unpredictable because they do whatever they want. Just like how Starcraft Ghost was supose to come out, allegedlly.

D3 wont even be out till next year, SC2 has been worked on since 2003 when TFT hit shelves.

The development of StarCraft II was announced on May 19, 2007, at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in Seoul, South Korea.[6][7] StarCraft II is being developed, under the codename Medusa,[28] for concurrent release on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS X. Blizzard has not yet announced a release date.[14] Development on the game began in 2003, shortly after Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne was released.[29]

They were both worked on simultaniously. StarCraft Ghost for Consoles, and StarCraft II for... "PC"s?
None.
Blizzard can be working on anything at any time, and even stop working on something unnoticely. Heck, they might even be making WC4 and SC3 right now.
None.
WoW 2 is more probably then a WC4 right now.. Sadly. And I wanted to kill Arthas in an RTS fashion too.
Let us not forget, Illidan was a good man.

Anyone can edit the map via access of WinMPQ and thus by giving the player control to the Xel'Naga and the Blood Elves with a computer controlled for the Scourge.
But hey, if that happened, and the since Illidan had a head start, it's already a 'good game'.
