Damn this topic is hott ATM. I choose protection, (first i thought this was about sex xD) because bastard map stealers host your map maybe edit and it gives you a bad name, makes you look like a map stealer and gives them undeserved credit. I understand the whole open source so people can look at maps and see how things were done but there was a trigger viewer at one point, and that was good enough for me i could look at how stuff was triggered and that eliminated a lot of potential map stealers.

And regardless, I can be here indefinitely as long as I follow the rules. And what side I do with protection/unprotection does not have to involve SEN at all. Hell, I could anonymously start stealing a bunch of maps and spreading them on battle.net if I wanted to and it wouldn't affect anything I do at SEN.
