I feel that the system of having to buy signatures (avatars and titles) is pretty... meaningless. Signatures should be given when first entering the site. It allows people to advertise their threads/ideas, which leads t more posting, which leads to what the mineral system tried to accomplish.

Please uplift the virtual cost on signatures!

I second the motion; signatures should not be subject to massive posting requirements. They are a very basic element of your public profile, not some extra whiz-bang that can be gotten for big amounts of minerals.

I can afford one, but I need the minerals for the ladder . I'm all for having free signatures, though, since I can't edit the one I have to what I'd like it to have on it.

Only because you and Merrel fined me over 100 minerals for bad reasons. And I'll have enough as soon as it shows up in the store anyway.

The main goal of the mineral system is just to create an active site through users over-posting. Thats pretty much it. Its not fun, its not cool, its not a good incentive, it doesn't do anything except make people post stupid, idiotic posts debating some stupid, idiotic subject. It makes people post when they have no advice. It makes unnecessary spam for the sake of creating an "active" site.

I've hated the mineral system ever since I went to Maplantis and realized that "Hey, we don't need minerals to create an fun and active community." I'd rather not have to become an extremist on hating the mineral system, but some of the most basic things are starting to cost minerals (IE Polls).

I like it. And yes, I will spam at times, but I get along just fine when I simply post useful stuff, it doesn't help that the other forums where you can spam stupid debates give minerals, I think only SC related forums should give minerals.

Hmmm... I guess if I ever really wanted minerals, I'll post a topic on Strange Creatures or the Scopes Trail.

Stop complaining about minerals. There's no universal rule governing how "minerals" should be obtained and spent on a forum. It's a creation of IP and Moose and they can do whatever they want with them and have them used for whatever they want them to be used for.
