Today I just beat an azn pro-player in melee on Lost Temple TvP. Here is my Go-for-Broke strat with terran which is perform almost identically agaisnt each race.
I'm no pro like Bedazed, but with this strat , even bad gamers who played 3v3 bgh their whole life can stand more than a chance. Atleast more of a chance than trying anything else.
This strategy relies on these assumptions:
~Your opponent is better than you, and knows the most logical counter to what he can see(especially when he sees 2 rax in TvP)
~He plans on expanding
~He gives up when overwhelmed
~He hasn't read this topic
8 supply
9 rax
10 rax(scout after first completed)
11 gas
12 rax(first should only be half-way done)
18 Fact.
18-20 bay
Ok now this strat asks these specific things of you:
~DON'T expand. You are going for broke here.
~Hotkey#1 cc, #2 rax, #3 rax, #4 fact
~Constantly update your rally points to your station of attack
~ALWAYS be pumping
~don't bother with more than 13 miners, and 2 gas workers(you will only be pumping with 2 rax and 1 fact whole game)
~Encourage him to forfit, "gg, rm?" works everytime, say it even if you don't want to because they are just begging for an excuse to put this game behind them and try again.
Walkthrough (vs Z/P): *blah blah until 16-18 supply* ok now that you still only have 2-4 rines, you are going to want to stick 2 scvs at your choke/ramp. Breathe, you won't be losing early game for once. ok now build that 1 and only factory, all the while still pupming rines, and don't worry about 3 miners on your gas, you need the extra scv to build depots, because you sure as hell don't need the gas. Once you've massed about 9 rines and have your bay done, send them out along with your 2 scvs in front. send them to the entrance of their natuaral, you really don't want to get flanked in the middle of your tank push. Speaking of which, the tank should have been made when your rines where have way there, and on its way to the choke due to the rally point you should have set(make sure you set the others too). Now that they are contained, start on your first turret. you should barely be able to see their exp which is typically done or almost done. Either way, you are about to take full advantage of those 400 minerals you didn't you and they did. Start your push. The rest is nothing special. you will notice though how grossly you out number them, and they will too.
This will give you the urge to start masterbating. Fight that urge, or you might still lose. Oh yeh, if they tec to obs, you can't lose.
Walthrough (vs T): THE EXACT SAME THING
... well minus the turrets. It's even better twhen you vs T, becuase you just fucking swamp them, its disgusting. They can be seiged and ready for it with lift vision, but unless they never, expanded and decided to just turtle on their cliff, you can't seriously just fucking roll in and swamp them. You will never be able to keep yourself from masterbating at that point.
VARIATION:
~Ok you're vsing zerg, and you know they are going den instead of spire(which they will because they see the 2 rax, god I love their predictable thinking), then abandon the bay for the acad, and get 3 gas miners just this once. upgrade stim then range, or not even range instead bat/medics.
~acad if they get robotics over archives
You Lose if:
They go early high temp+storm for some ungodly reason.
They get dt's before your turret(happens before you get used to the build)
They don't expand
Are flanked
Get worker dropped while attacking them(they won't)
I am curious if this strat would be considered cheese. If the map is RoV, then you seriously can't fucking lose. The attachment is just me beating that azn.
