I've been trying to record Brood War using FRAPS. In-game it is fine, but it refuses to record menu elements or briefings in full motion when in fullscreen. Instead, it captures the background splash screen (the .pcx file in the .mpq) and refuses to record anything until either that background image is changed or I begin a match. This is destructive for, naturally, recording briefings.
I am using Windows Vista 64bit, StarCraft: Brood War 1.16.1 in fullscreen without chaoslauncher, and I've tried various versions of FRAPS with no avail (I believe I'm using 3.5.x at the moment).
Does anyone know how to fix the problem I'm having?

I ditched fraps for bandicam because of this.
I tried forever to get FRAPS working for this, but it just wouldn't. I ended up using HyperCam 2, personally.
Edit: Google searching has made it apparent that people prefer using alternatives to FRAPS when recording StarCraft.

Guncam worked best for me recording fullscreen Brood War.
Red classic.

Beforde what?
Bw patch?
other Version?
other OS?
Before. I was using the same patch and the same versions of FRAPS, and had no problems. There is literally nothing different about the OS, FRAPS, and Brood War.
