For your system Specs. They are now just taking them when you log into SC2.
Anyone a little peeved? I'm not going all UU here, but I'm a little disturbed.

Did you know warden from battlenet, both 1 and 2, is spyware? It logs all your system processes IIRC, to catch hacking. This is nothing new really.

As long as its in terms and conditions then u can't complain because u agreed.
Just virtualize it if it's a huge problem for you.
None.
This is not as big of a problem as requiring an online pass
or being able to collect data of everything you do with your DS...
Also... real classy in putting my name down.
Not only am I totally oblivious to SC2 nowadays, but this issue has no factor in me losing faith in Activision/Blizzard.
I mean, if you're asking for a fight, then just make a topic of that.
Otherwise, don't.

I actually really liked UU's response. It made me laugh (not in a condescending way).
UU, you tend to complain about stuff. It's just a fact.

Disagree. You can complain all you want. People often forget that the lesser of two evils is still evil. Choosing between not playing and dealing with no privacy... There's room for complaint.
Eh

The only thing that I've seen UU complain about is this piece of garbage that you all cherish, which is justifiable.
I feel as though more and more companies/games/websites are doing this (just taking your info everything you log on), so you can't really just point it out for Blizzard. Remember all the craziness that ignited when people found out that Facebook was collecting user data?

Technically you can complain, yes, but I believe the point was that Blizzard (or anyone else who makes you agree to a contract before using a service) does not have to pay attention to the complaints. They may listen to a drop in sales if people protest and it actually affects them, but otherwise we agreed to let them do this so they did due diligence.

To shed some light on this
Blizzard, and all other online stuffs, have to be able to access some of your personal information at some point or another.
This is because the services they provide simply requires it. Like, the GPS app for iphone/touch/pad must have access to your personal location, and be able to store it, or else they'd have to reconnect you to their network every single time you turn that app on, and that's just not plausible.
Having information about your computer specs is a little scary, but it might cater to what they want to do (though why on earth would they worry about the graphical fidelity of SC2 is beyond me and will probably spark some rage in me b/c there are SOO many better things they should be focusing on).
I guess you'll have to trade the risk for their services..
..Like credit cards.
At least they were upfront about this... wait.. where's your source?

Probably the first step in fighting account sharing. When you're caught logging on with too many wildly different specs you're banned.
At least they were upfront about this...
When they actually were, fine. But in the end it doesn't matter as 99% of the sc2 players are sheep or fanboys who don't care.

That we're
forced into such measures in the first place is the problem! Any other program has a checkbox about usage statistics you can untick. Besides I wouldn't know how to do it.
I'm sure when some intern gets a glance at all of the high res goatse I have open at any given time they will think twice about looking at my system again.
Also, none of this is anything new.
Show them your butt, and when you do, slap it so it creates a sound akin to a chorus of screaming spider monkeys flogging a chime with cacti. Only then can you find your destiny at the tip of the shaft.
