This isnt a clan invite to a clan of mine Tartarus... I have no clan of which for all the map makers on SEN to join. But, a Clan is one (and a very good one at that) method of uniting a certain group of SC players that have a common cause, prefferred game, or skill in a map. Do any of you remember the days back when Clans were life in SC? Back in those days, if you werent in a clan, you were considered a noob, an outcast, or a nobody. And if members of 2 rival clans were in the same game, there would be instant flaming. Thats how dedicated we need to be to Starcraft mapping... not this ... "Eh, whatever." attitude. We need to be more involved... there needs to be more intervention on our Part. Setting up the clan should be a piece of cake also- We have our Leaders, (The same on our site) We have the channel (THeres bound to be 12 of amongst us who can donate WC3 Keys to our leaders) We have the skill- (well, maybe not me, and thats why i will not be taking part in your SEN clan. but many of you have a true talent for map making) We have the cause - (All of you god damn well better know what our intents are.) Tournies would actually be not a bad idea. Whether or not people would care to participate is the question. I, myself, began losing interest in SC and even mapping recently because I found more entertaining things to do like basketball, guitar, and stuff. I think this is what happened to most other members of SEN, maybe IP(?). You could try, though.

Its not a specific clan ad but it just sounded to me like exactly what people thought i was doing- trying to change sen or something. Turning a forum community into a clan is either not possible or not a good idea because many of our members are already dedicated to their own clan. Lets try tournies. Both gaming tournaments and MAPPING. We do this in my clan already: we make a mini map with a small ammount of triggers (any type of map, it can be a def, bound normal game map anything) and then they are all judged by a few people.

30 mins seems short to make even a mini map with playable functions, but i guess for pro mappers its enough? like i said moose ICTX still has alot to help out with- even these contests.

Themed means something like (these are from the WB melee contests) "bigger is better", and you have to have big stuff in your map, or "innovation", and you have to have innovative stuff in your map.
