The Chat extension didn't work for some reason, so I removed it.
Also the RSS extension that you suggested, Jack, was to display RSS feeds on a Wiki page rather than turn the Wiki into an RSS.
Heh, my bad, but we don't need it anymore anyway.
Payne, that should be changed to Data Editor, I keep putting Data instead of Data Editor because it makes more sense to me.
Another of my posts linking to GWN was deleted on battle.net forums, even though it was helpful and all. It was in
http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/608631413?page=27 that thread. While I think the one I posted in
http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/1083750140 was deleted because blizzard doesn't like people talking about modeling and such, it seems strange that my other one or perhaps ones have been deleted. Maybe sixen or other people are reporting them?

Post #523? I still see it in there.

It could be interesting to have a little cadre to the right with like "The last 5 created wikis".
None.
It doesn't quite work that way. I could just put a link in the Nav box to
http://www.galaxywiki.net/index.php?title=Special:NewPages though.
EDIT:
Update on the Trigger Template, I think I've got it as user-friendly as I possibly can for now. I posted an explanation on
http://www.galaxywiki.net/index.php?title=Template:TriggerThe drawbacks at the moment are that every line has to be spaced out, * and # lists don't work on the first line of it, and if you leave spaces in when copying triggers as text, they still show up in the boxes. If no one objects, I might just try to figure out how to remove the "boxing with spaces" feature entirely so we can use <pre> instead for that, while spaces wont auto-box the text copied into the template.
For now it looks fine for triggers like
http://www.galaxywiki.net/index.php?title=Triggers#How_to_use_Conditions_to_filter_Events and
http://www.galaxywiki.net/index.php?title=Trigger_Template_Test but it looks terrible for
http://www.galaxywiki.net/index.php?title=Random_integer because I completely forgot about the "General - If then" action. I'll figure out a way around that eventually (I may just make a Template:GeneralAction that can be placed in the "Action" area and divides the if/then statements accordingly).

Not 523, a different one. Also, I see I'm mod of this forum too now, thanks

So, hum... We really are only 2 communities?
Jack, others still haven't answered you?
Also, do we know if Sc2Mod is ready to export his wikis? I've heard their admin was creating a code to do so or something.
I also think Devlin should write a "Galaxy Wiki Project Launch" post on the B.net forums, though we might want to wait for Mikelat to make GalaxyWiki.com redirect to .net (if he wants to).
EDIT: Oh! And Sc2Mod changed their Wiki link, while we haven't. We might want to respect our self-established Constitution. ;D

Ralle from hive has been busy, so I'm waiting on him. Dunno what's happening at udmod.

We haven't changed our link yet because I don't want to screw anything up by changing it myself, and I haven't seen Devourer in a while. I'll change it as soon as I can.
EDIT:
I changed our link so it links to GWN, though I need to have Devourer help me turn that into a menu so we can also add a link to the SC1 Wiki.

UDMod now links to GWN at the top along one of the toolbars, and also down the bottom at the affiliates area.

Some spam bot's been hitting GWN with insurance articles and stuff. I think devlin killed a couple but we might need better anti-bot registration methods. I'm happy to delete them and the accounts when I see them on my RSS reader, but I don't have moderator access.

Yeah I was looking into it yesterday. There are a few extensions I'll add to help with that.
EDIT:
We were spammed again before I could upload the extensions. Added a captcha for registration and new page creation. I also added an extension that creates an invisible field on the article creation page that prevents the article form being created if it is filled.

Relatively ancient and inactive
Sounds sneaky. You consider that it may be chinese children spamming you manually?
None.
Haha perhaps not the Chinese children part, but I did think that it was manually spammed. Each article posted was about insurance, though, and some of it was incorrectly copy/pasted, so that led me to think it was automated instead.

Well, whatever it is, it's back.

Awesome, well all 3 of the top recommended anti-spam blockers on MediaWiki are failing us.
On a lighter note, it seems like half the new accounts aren't posting articles, so it is only partially working.

Add captcha to article submitting, duh.
Captcha on register is just poor since someone could just make an account then have an script spam with it.
There's only like the three of you doing anything anyway and I highly doubt anyone else that submits anything will be annoyed since it's a "once in a while thing".
You're obviously being targetted right now, so just add it for a little while and then the problem will disappear.
Say two months.
