As I'm currently redoing the entire system I've decided to turn the DLDB as well as the Reviews section offline.
Just one hint about what I'll be doing: I'll try to keep it as simple and userfriendly as possible.

EDIT: (Probably,) all files will be deleted/removed when the new system is online.

Yeah, I was going to say that exact same thing. There are a ton of files in there that you can't find anywhere else (unless Nibbits took them), and it would be a shame to lose everything like that.

Back them up, or I'll go through and download every file myself.

Rule number one: SEN does not delete anything if it is not necesarry. They still are there but fucking unsorted, but they still exist. And yea I won't delete them as I'm using a new upload folder for the new DLDB. Don't worry

When am i going to be able to download maps again?

I cannot give a date but I assume if I continue working on this like today I'll be done in at most 1-2 weeks. Sorry.

It's possible that the spotlight will be gone, undecided yet. It's meant to be kept as simple as possible but re-adding the sunken-treasure and file spotlight wouldn't hurt I guess.

They are both very good features, IMO.
The Sunken Treasure showed me some great unknown maps and the File Spotlight helps the members to find Golden Maps.

Splash page -- 80% Done
Browse -- 100% Done
Intersearch -- 100% Done
Single file viewing -- 0% Done
Editing of files -- 0% Done

Overall: 70-80% done

Looks very good Dev. Great job with the updates.

I want to mention that I'm mainly removing some features and improving others to ease the use.
For example, tags will be completly gone but you can search by author and other stuff. The splash page looks a bit like maplantis'.
The browsing now got a "More information" button in each map-cell which shows you further information when clicked.
While borwsing more useful stuff is shown anyways like DLs, Uploader... and a "quick download link".
When adding a file you now can fill out description, authors, game and version just on the same page (just before you upload the file itself).
"source status" is now removed as ppl were not understanding this anyways (the average)
Rating will still be only one general rating
You can now enter authors manually, doesn't matter whether they are registered on SEN or not

Yes, you might want. But noone was using it and it was confusing for the most, that's why the majority did not make anything in there. But still, maybe (but only maybe as we need a compiler, too) farty will be able to redo a bit of the program to check whether the map is protected or not to auto-mark the file as protected.

Oh, looks pretty cool actually. So it's a page that shows a bunch of random screenshots from maps in the database?

Updated above post again, and these are not really random screenshots. jamal made them for me some time ago He's pretty awesome in using paint
But, I guess he got to do some more for me 500 width 100 height if he reads that and got some time. Need one for Sounds, Programs, Others, Submit, Search and Recently Uploaded.
