2009 Last Stand RPG Challenge
(user posted image)(user posted image)
The 2009 RPG Challenge

Introduction
The 2009 Last Stand RPG Challenge is a mapping event hosted by myself and Lethal_Illusion. Our objective is to fuel and produce quality high-end maps for the Starcraft community in its dying years. We hope to make a competition of unprecedented magnitude, the best the mapping community has to offer- to make one last bang before we go.

Specifications
Entries must be classified as RPGs
There is no specific theme required to adhere to.
There is no regulation on the number of players a map can have.
Maps must meet quality standards (regulated by Lethal_Illusion and I) to merit validation.
All maps must be complete.
RPGs currently in production are valid for submission, so long as the bulk of the work is done in 2009.
Mapping teams are allowed with a maximum of two people per team.
Teams are allowed multiple submissions.
Mod supplemented maps are allowed; all judging, however, should be on the actual RPG aspects of the map, rather than the mod itself.
We encourage all who feel up to the challenge to participate.

Deadline
The 2009 RPG Challenge is a year long competition, all submissions must be in by 11:59pm December 31st 2009 SEN/Battle.Net time in order to qualify. The extensive timeline was set to encourage quality work put into each map, and to appeal to those who only have time at specific times during the year. You can join in on the competition at any time so long as the map gets completed (preferably sooner than later)

Evaluation
Maps will not be judged by any set rubric, nor by any judges, but rather by the community. The mineral reward will be distributed among the seven most reputable submissions. Distribution percentages will be determined when the time comes. All exceptional entries will receive a minimum of 100 minerals.

Also you may propose any mod you wish and if people like it, it will be added in the list.

Remember that as it is a Clan [MM] tradition EVERYONE IS INVITED!
And we'll make sure to make it easier for everyone to assist by compiling all the mods in one package and assiting persons to get servers working.

Thank you for reading and remember to show up!

Winter Modding Contest
The Winter Modding Contest

FAQs
--I’m kind of new, how do I “mod”?
Modding is a learning experience much like mapping, but with a greater degree of control. If you’ve never modded and want to try, I suggesting going to the following links to get started:

Quote

--Is it modding only?
No, feel free to submit special maps so your mod can be played more.
SCMloaded maps are acceptable.

--How do I join?
Just submit a mod, no signup is required.

--What are the rules exactly?
Rules:
Mods must be submitted before February 28
It is not necissary to sign up in advance.
You may not submit an already made mod, neither a mod that is already in progress. It must be created after the creation of this post (Although, I doubt it really matters, I’ll let this rule bend a little for mods that were barely started before the creation of this post).
Team work is encouraged, however, if you're going to make a team project I don't recommend more than 2 persons
No Entry Fee.
There is NO theme that you must work around.
You may submit updates, as in post a topic and show us your work and buy the judge and the people.

--How will my mod be judged?
Judging Criteria:

Quote
Complexity
Was your mod easy to create? Was it hard? This will be taken into consideration.
This will be worth: 15 Points

Content
What exactly did you do? Did you just edit a few units? Was It a TC?
This will be worth: 20 Points

Glitchness
How well does your mod run? Does it have Glitches?
This will be worth: 10 points

Originality
Is your mod a copy of another mod? This will be highly evaluated.
This will be worth: 30 points

Fun & Balance
Is Your mod fun? boring? another important thing highly evaluated. Note that balance is an important part of fun.
This will be worth: 25 points
This all is worth 100 points as you can see.

--What do I get if I win?

You will win a mineral prize of course:
First prize - 55% of the pot
Second prize - 25% of the pot
Third Prize - 15% of the pot
Special Prizes - 5%

-------------------------------------------------
The current pot size is: 3303 Minerals

Donators:
Corbo -- 300 + 366 = 666 Minerals
Excalibur -- 275 Minerals
DeVouReR -- 10 Minerals
WoAHorde -- 195 Minerals
Polaris -- 650 + 17 + 10 = 677 Minerals <-- New Big Spender :D
TassadarZeratul -- 231 Minerals
NudeRaider -- 668 Minerals

Thank you guys :D

Temple Siege Tournament #2
(user posted image)
SEN Temple Siege Tournament

Hosted By: ClansAreForGays
Date: 12/6/08
Time: 8:00PM EST
Place: USeast in channel Op Sen

WINNERS
Echo/Deno, ][cy, and IsnipedYou have won this 21 person tourament consisting of : DaltonSerdynski, decency(faz-), MadZombie, Pigy_G, NDE, Plaz]v[a, BlueDestiny8, OofsBlu, Spek28, 1337T4T0R, mewuvyourself(thirt33n), tod_the_rod, Adm.CAIN, roman.empire, DimeBag, Doodle77, payne, krn

Please read this over, as I have changed much from last time.

Rules & Regulations
- Single elimination. No Bo3.
- We will all be playing the Tournaments Official Version*.
- There will be NO hacks, spoofs or other starcraft modifications tolerated.
- You are not allowed to purposefully kill(manually attack) allied Nurses/Dark Orbs/Goblins/Satellites for easy exp.
- You may not manually attack allied units for easy/deny exp.
- You may indirectly kill allied spawns with storm/splash.
- If you end end up with a glitched unit from a spell cast like a Valkyrie, send the air unit into a no-fly suicide zone.
- If you end up with an invic. ghost, leave it unused at your temple.
- Teams will consist of 3 players.
- All teams must designate 1 Captain (hopefully the most active of the team) to represent them.
- The captain must have a SEN account, the remaining members however, do not.
- These rules are not finalized and are subject to change, including new rules, removal of previous rules, or modifications to all rules.
- This will not be a major tournament like the last one was. There is no Champ Team, and the winner is not guaranteed a mention in urine's next official version(1.5). Team Blu Spekled Shroomz will retain their title regardless.
- This is not allowed for this particular tournament. It's still unknown whether it's fair. (I don't like making rules like this) Besides, the game is decided 5 minutes into the game on whether they can break it fast, or never.
- Let me be clear: You won't be charged for taking advantage of anything else that you might have invented and is widely unknown. I don't punish ingenuity and thinking outside the box.

Championship Rules:
- If a tournament has at least 24 different participants and the winning team has no byes, then they are are guaranteed a Championship match with the Champ Team for Champ Team title.

Patch 1.16.0
Feature Changes

- In-game chat is now saved in replays. Note: whispers are not saved.
- Hitting the Escape key while in the chat room will clear your typed text.
- "/reply" (or just "/r") will send a whisper to person who most recently whispered you.

Bug Fixes

- Fixed localization issues with "from" and "to" in whispers.
- Starcraft now only uses as much CPU as it needs to run smoothly.

Exploits

- Fixed an exploit which allowed Zerg players to gain minerals through mutations.
- Fixed an exploit which allowed Zerg players to recycle an upgrading building.
- Fixed an exploit which allowed Zerg players to extend their creep with a drone.
- Fixed an exploit which allowed Zerg players to move Drones over impassable terrain.
- Fixed an exploit which allowed Terran players to drop a nuke anywhere on the map.
- Fixed an exploit which allowed players to pause the game while in the pre-game lobby.

Bugs Introduced
- It thinks you're sending a reply when you put any character followed by r and a space... for example: "or that" would be processed as a reply saying "that". Note that this only works in the channels, not in the pre-game lobby or in-game.
