Anyone has more information on Greo's avatar? That shining light seems to be some kind of beam.

None.

Sep 20 2008, 10:09 pm Ultraviolet Post #322

Greo's avatar looks like a pokemon to me. I'm not sure which one though.

Sep 20 2008, 10:10 pm Lingie Post #323

I dunno any Pokemon with beams, besides maybe a Gayrados using Hyper Beam.

It's the glow from Klonoa's rather large ring.

Its not a pokemon. It looks like a character from a sonic game.
Also, it has a pacman on its hat. That detail might come into play later if he is mafia.

EDIT: Wow you guys are fast.

ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO

It looks like some sort of lighting sword to me, not a beam.
But it is bright.
EDIT: Klonoa :O
I remember playing that LOL.

fuck you all

You should be lucky that that Pac-Man isn't yellow like the real one Greo, or the "Gold" clue might be something against you.

For one thing, Archons do not have beam attacks, their attack looks more like opening a portal in the enemy.
"looks more like"
It's called "Psionic Shockwave", and involves projecting a beam at something. Apparently, it's a beam... just a splashy one.
Quote
I suppose that that could blast a whole through someone's chest, but then it would rip them in half and would not spell out "Owned".
That's a much better and quite valid point.

Someone else posted farther up that this could have been via burrowing, I like that interpretation. It may point to Darkling and/or Hug_a_Zergling.
I like this interpretation, too.
EzDay281 agrees. It sounds reasonable.

Time and time again the mafia have avoided lynching by keeping a low profile,
Time and time again, people are only so active as is needed to avoid being lightning'd by Moose ( or fail to, as our Enforced Leave list demonstrates ) .

You'll ruin the game if things don't go your way and you have some potential to ruin it. You aren't mature enough to do otherwise.
He did so once. The videos were not against the rules, and I was quite capable of slipping past that means of finding mafia. Farty would have been able to also, and atleast one or two of the other dead mafia also knew how. The only reason the rest didn't is because people tend to be too noob to communicate with their fellow mafia when they need help.
Quote
You only hit so many interpretations spot on because you make about a million, and as a result some of them are bound to be correct.
Horde wanted Devi to live last game based on the thought that the mass of interpretations coming out would be pointless. The point is that the ones that sucked eventually got dropped, and the ones that were justified were followed until everyone but me was found out.

Even more proof. He's hostile. I suggest that we go ahead and lynch him, if not for the clues, but to make the game fun and enjoyable and not simply a flame fest.
Or people could just start treating him with the normal troll procedure, and stop getting excited by his namecalling. ;P While the fact that Devilesk didn't get me last game was rather shameful on his part, he did catch onto the rest of us pretty damned quickly. For the record, I'm not voting for Devi until I see decent evidence that he's going to be screwing the town over somehow.

Perhaps I'm treating Devi a bit too much as I think others treat Dan, but whatever. He's either gotten damned lucky, in which case we'll see soon enough, or else he's bloody good at clue interpreting, in which case killing him before having any reason to believe he's mafia would be stupid.

And ugh. I posted what Greo's avatar is around three times in some past mafia game. Dx

Thats the thing, my little shroom is more of an indiginous creature then a plant. It eats poor MapleStory players.

The town is mostly agricultural, but something else has been growing with the harvest this year.

Mmm... It's possible that this creature has been growing with the regular plants..

I'm aware.
The point is that, either way, it's a mushroom. ;P
Clues don't have to be based on such exact interpretations of peoples' avatars/signatures.
Which isn't to say that I much think this one is a clue, anyways...

Yeah, there probably isn't any juicy stuff in this first post. Hell, I think if anyone tried, they could pin something on everyone. Theres enough double edged clues, like the "Weeds", or the "M" alliteration.

Well... the "disappeared into the ground clue" and the light beam are probably the only valid clues we have in the post. The others seem too obvious, and will probably end up being uselesss later. My main suspects are Hug_A_Zergling, and anyone else involving a beam that pierces through someone..

Anyways, I vote for Hug a Zergling.

Ok. I have a couple main points here that I want to quickly get across.

1. The majority of the players are looking far too much into what attack they think spelled owned in Moose's chest. Clue-makers don't think shit out that thoroughly. Like, "O, the house might be a 100 feet away, so that doesn't make sense" or "no, that attack wouldn't be precise enough". Wait for a similar attack to be used again and maybe we'll pick up on something.

2. My vote is currently in a major state of flex. For now, I change it to ABSTAIN.

3. I want devilesk to post clue intrepretations. There's nothing really solid clue-wise against him, but he keeps saying how valuable he is, and yet this game he hasn't proved it. There was that CAT intrepretion that I think isn't very good at all, and a couple points about the laser thing that he thinks points to DTBK. Nothing big like I would expect from devilesk since we all saw how good at clue interpreting he can be last game.

4. I think the Tassadar/Zeratul idea is ridiculous. We've established several possible weapons that could have accounted for that attack. Echo's megaman, DTBK's weapon, something out of DBZ, and some other stuff too. Sticking to one equally valid intrepretation over all the others does not make sense to me. We have better clues against other people.

Highlighting for vote counters: I ABSTAIN MY VOTE.

You don't. Bear in mind, experience at something doesn't necessarily equate to understanding of the entire philosophy of it as interpreted by anyone. Also, mafia is a relatively common game, and certainly not restricted to SEN/Maplantis. You're not necessarily the only one with experience in the subject - I've watched, and had to create a few clues in, similar games myself, before.
And "no, that attack wouldn't be precise enough" may not, by your judgement, be a great reason for Moose to have decided not to implement such a clue, but it's certainly good reason for him not to have even come up with it in the first place.

All fair points. I just think there isn't enough to go by on that clue to vote for anyone because of it. It seems like people actually think they're going to get somewhere with it and I don't. I prefer to wait longer on clues like this. I think the fact that it spelled 'owned' is more relevant.

I'll wait until the next vote tally, then retro-edit this post with my vote.

Remember, guys, that we have an indefinite period of time to beat these clues to death and get a reasonably solid set of Mafia leads, so don't jump any guns.

Or at least, indefinite until Moose says otherwise. :bleh:

2. These words may imply some sort of farm-grown plant or vegetable. Or perhaps it implies something that is not supposed to be growing in the harvest, like weeds or mushrooms. Anybody's name/sig/avatar relate to to a plant that grows in harvests or perhaps to a plant that is not supposed to grow in harvests?
False. The "something else" refers to the next 4 words:

An infiltration of mafia
