I don't understand anti-protection people, and I have lived with them (my parents) my whole life.
You should be allowed to have sex anyway (that's not rape and things like it) you want, you can't trust a decision made 2000 years ago to be any good at all in modern times.

There's something called free will, and no, God cannot give us free will if he knows the future. It's not free then.

I highly doubt this should be an issue for us to be talking about because I'm pretty sure none of you guys are going to get any action no matter how hard you try.

no but seriously, I don't seem to see what's wrong with protection. Pretty much the only major group that seems to be against the use of protection are Catholics.

Religion fucks up everything. If someone wants to use protection, let them. If they want to enjoy sex with there partner and choose not to use a form of contraception, let them.

Religion + (INSERT TEXT HERE) = SCREWED UP!

Yes, but sex should only be done between married couples, protection is when they want to enjoy each other, but not have a kid, it's not for teens and unmarried people to have sex with no consequences.

Did I say no?

= Alright but shouldn't be doing before marriage anyway.

Besides the point though. If they were not allowed it would deter some adolescents but not near all. People really invested are going to anyway, may as well allow them a better chance and not spreading STDs if they are going to.

That doesn't make me anti-protection, it makes me pro abstinence.

May I ask why? Walking into a marriage with no experience is going to fuck you over if you don't have any clue to what you are doing.

Having sex doesn't require experience to do it properly, it's not that difficult of a process.

It's not a misquote, I am not against protection, only against unmarried people having sex, which protection often encourages.

Never a truer word said, if you stopped focusing on sex and abstracted that for a minute.

But seeing as I'm here to state an opinion in this thread, being against contraceptives is just stupid. It's people's right to use them if they want to, and whatever you feel morally about premarital, underage, or other kinds of sex, as long as it's consensual it shouldn't be everyone else's business to try to prohibit it. Personally, though, I don't look down on premarital sex so much as people who brag about it and try to use their sexual "experience" to belittle others.

What about married teenagers?

Also, the comments about one could think this topic is about mapping protection got old fast. They are off-topic and such comments do not belong in Serious Discussion. For those who like to remain informed, several such posts have been deleted and they will continue to be deleted.

As long as they're lawfully married, although most cases of married teens is only because they had sex and accidentally got the girl pregnant.
