On my melee map(s) I have posted around the place. One thing keeps popping up, "use larger ramps/bridges."

Now for the stupid noob question, How do i even do this? All i use is when trying to make a melee map is normal staredit.

How can i make these larger ramps and how to import them into a map....? Or just direct me to some tut's

in SCM Draft or StarForge you can pull up the tile palette and scroll pretty far down to where the doodads are, then you find the ramps and you try to extend them by moving the edge pieces over and adding some repeating middle pieces to the empty space. Sorry that wasn't a very great explanation :\. I'll look for a tutorial.

SCMDraft2 has copy and paste terrain. Use that to extend the bridges wider.

This is going to sound stupid too? How I know when you click on the copy and paste then drag a red box around the area you want to copy and paste but how to do it on ramps? (Also tried this on bridges all i got was a water copy) as i tried once to copy the middle peice of a ramp to make it longer all i got was the lower ground "dirt"

Anyway to show me a screen shot of this? Or just again a tut? lol

If you're placing the doodads such as bridge and ramps you need to first convert them to terrain before you can copy paste them. What you do is select the doodad under doodad mode and right click and select convert to terrain.

Or... >Windows>Terrain Palette>Tileset Index then find the ramps and bridges then just click on the square and put it where ever you want and it will be terrain.

That's another option, but it's more tedious and time consuming. By placing it as a doodad you can also check to see if it is in the right spot and blending correctly.
