Squadron II is a fast-paced, 3v3 space flying map. The objective is to score 300 points before the other team can do the same. There are four ways to score points:
-There are four planets on the battlefield. Each planet orbits around the sun, and has a gravity well. In addition to providing vision and extra spawning options (for players experienced enough to successfully take off from inside a gravity well; new players are advised to launch from their base until they are adept at maneuvering near planets), each friendly planet provides your team with 1 point every 10 seconds. Fly near a planet (or, if you're feeling suicidal, directly into it) to capture it.
-Every time an enemy fighter dies, your team scores two points. Lock (a + click) enemy fighters to attack them. Do not unally.
-Each team's base features a flag, defended by a pair of cannons. If you remain in the enemy base for too long, the cannons will destroy you. If, however, you successfully capture the flag, and return it to your base while your team is still in possession of its own flag, your team scores 15 points.
-Remaining in your own base, or near friendly planets, slowly increases your stasis entropy, shown as wireframe damage and minerals. In order to purge your stasis entropy, you must travel to the enemy base. If you successfully prevent an enemy fighter from purging its stasis entropy (by keeping it from getting to your base), and it is destroyed by stasis entropy, your team scores 15 points.

The key to winning this game is teamwork, especially with regards to teleporting. The teleporter may well be your fighter's most important feature; it is controlled through the warp control building, to the left of your team's base. Press M to warp to the first player on your team, A to warp to the second player on your team, and C to warp to the third player on your team. The teleporter can be useful in many situations, including escaping with the enemy flag and getting to the enemy base to purge your stasis entropy. Coordinate with your teammates, and you will be able to warp where you need to, when you need to, greatly increasing your combat effectiveness.

F.A.Q.
1. Why can't I do anything? I can't seem to spawn a fighter!
There are three reasons why you might not be spawning properly. The first reason is that you are trying to spawn at a planet that you do not own. This is quite impossible; if your team controls no planets, respawn at your base. The second reason is that you are trying to launch from a planet, and failing. Planet launches, especially from Ceti Omega I and Ceti Omega III, the first and second most massive planets, respectively, can be tricky for the beginner. It is possible to launch from every planet, provided that your execution is correct and your timing isn't hideously poor. Likewise, it is posssible to operate successfully even near the center of the system. The gravity does not need to be weaker, and the respawn wait time does not need to be longer. Any further weakening of the gravity would trivialize it completely for the experienced player. The third possibility is that you attempted to unally someone. This is a locks only game; do not try to cheat.
2. My fighter blew up, but I didn't hit anything, and nobody shot me! Why did it do that?
Once again, there are three possibilities. The first, and most common, is stasis entropy. If you think you're getting hurt for no reason, your stasis entropy is rising. The second possibility is that you were destroyed by the enemy base cannons. If the cannons are tracking you, then it is only a matter of time before they get a lock, so do what you have to in the enemy base, and then get out. The third possibility is that you attempted to unally someone.
3. Who's on my team again?
The two human forces are opposed to one another. Taipan (top) Squadron is red, teal, and yellow; Krait (bottom) Squadron is purple, orange, and brown.
4. Why didn't I go anywhere when I teleported?
It's possible to teleport to yourself. There may or may not be situations where you want to do so, depending on your opinions of certain tactics. If you want to go somewhere else, warp to a teammate. Yes, this means that you actually have to communicate with the other members of your team if you want to warp to a specific place at a specific time. This is a team game, remember?
