The PM of yours Mini Moose posted is most certainly in poor form.

I want to see the situation improve. That can happen in a variety of ways. Esponeo can learn from this public outcry and take it to heart, vastly improving his attitude and how he approaches moderating. Or, the administration, finding Esponeo unable or unwilling to change, will rescind their decision.

The problem, Zell, is that you are demonstrating a desire for only one outcome -- that Esponeo lose his moderator status. That is evidence of a personal vendetta, a grudge. Such a bias cannot be taken seriously. Use facts where they exist, but do not attack.

Regardless of a person's attitude, I find the best approach to a PM like that is to ignore the insult and ask the person to be more specific, rather than ignoring the question entirely.

You type well, and you appear to be an intelligent person. That is important for a moderator to possess, as he needs to be able to communicate clearly. Beyond that, the right personality is crucial. You strike me as hostile. That is an incorrect fit for the tasks moderation demand. If you cannot let go of that, I foresee only problems and needless conflict.


You will never be worthy of moderatorship with that attitude.

You believe that I have been rude and insulting to the members of this community and that doing so is not befitting of a moderator under any circumstances. You believe that I am unnecessarily closing topics when valid discussion may still take place. You believe that I should address the concerns of all members as everyone who visits this site deserves at least that right. No. You have closed a couple threads that should not have been closed. The Voyager topic, which you reopened, and the Tileset thread. The others that I reviewed looked fine. Your latest locks that I have witnessed have had clearer reasons, so that is an improvement.

Locking can always be reverted by any moderator, so it's not a crime (provided the intentions are justified). When you say something nasty to someone, however, that cannot be taken back.

Okay, you have demonstrated that you at least understand the reasons for this thread. But that is only half of the issue. If you are kicking someone, and they get angry, knowing they are angry because you're kicking them does not settle the issue. You have to stop kicking them, too. When you continue kicking, the person can only assume you either don't understand the situation, or you're doing it maliciously. Not understanding is the optimistic assumption, as ignorance is easier to forgive and correct than malice.

Now, you understand the issues. But, do you care?

Oh please. You preach like no other moderator has ever acted in a way that was demeaning to a member. I remember more then a few times when you yourself acted in a way that could be considered snobbish at best.

In the end you can fill pages and pages with your complaints and how you think Esponeo should be doing things, but in the end this is not a democracy. If Esponeo remains a moderator it is because Moose thinks he is doing his job well enough to retain that privilege. You can cover this entire thread with as much tears as you want, but in the end this is not your site.

If you have so much of a problem with Esponeo, then leave. Someone new will eventually fill your niche.

People are leaving because they don't agree with what SEN has become. That is fine, many people have been leaving since SEN's inception. It's no different now.

Quite honestly, I only posted to state my opinion. I don't wish to spar with other members because I really don't care. I find this whole topic to be quite comical and I have nothing more to say. I will only reply if I am directly asked.
