I want to implicate a disabled mineral field in my map to ward of map hackers. Yes I know they can just turn it off then back on during the game, but I have EUD triggers that will cause a dysync and disconnect everyone. Any who, I don't want there to be any ugly rock sprite in my map so is there a way to remove it?
None.
Yes. Delete it in the editor. Can't you just put it in some far corner of the map where nobody will see it?
None.
No, I guess I was not specific. In the beginning of my game, I want to disable a crash sprite and then force a center view of all players on that unit. I don't want a rock sprite to be there because I'm picky with perfection.
I found out that a Terran Siege Tank that is disabled doesn't create a rock sprite. I will just disable it, forced a view, and then remove it and center the screen back on there bases.
None.
There's no way to remove it because triggers cannot affect sprites. But if you place the mineral thing at the bottom of the map it might be created outside the map and thus not visible, dunno.
EDIT: We posted at the same time lol. Yeah the tank might also work
?????
Why do you want the players to see it? Won't it make all the players crash?
EDIT: O wait, nevermind. You want to see if a hacker can see the whole map.
None.

Uh, actually you would want it on the top of the map, for two reasons. One, being that the sprite would be created off the map EX: not visible. Two, you can't place units in the bottom 2 tiles of the map.

Let me show you how to hump without making love.
Any sprite that was disabled in the editor will make someone crash when they look at it.
None.
I have used some sprites in a map. Is it possible to remove these again? For example, "elapsed time is 10s", then remove sprites.
None.
You can never affect a sprite with triggers.
None.
It doesnt have to be by triggers.. is there is some other way?
None.
Not really. Maybe using EUDs, but I don't think so. Sprites are pretty much unmodificable.

Not any, many work, proof:
http://Falkoner.CoW.GooglePages.com/Disabled_Sprite_Effects.htmlTry a unit other than a mineral field, some units create the rock sprite, others do not, but many that don't create it still crash anyway.

a few questions about sprites:
when I select unit sprites, they're always in the same player color, even when selecting another player. Is it possible to change the player colors of sprites?
Also, some sprites remain in front of units, so they overlap these units. Is it possible to always set sprites behind units ?
None.
Which editor are you using, and no, you can't always put them behind units.
None.
I use staredit and scmdraft2.

Do you have the latest version of SCM Draft where they upgraded the sprite system? Before that it didn't work as well. He may not have fixed the color of sprites yet, though, so if you need to, you can use StarForge to see the color of the sprites.
None.
I've checked the version, its 0.8.0 beta version. I'm not sure if this is the newest version..
But how do you change the colors in scmdraft then?
