I agree that we Dyne should stop randomly recruiting, and should send a PM to everyone who does not want to be in the clan to simply leave. If they wish to be in it, then they are members, no?

EcHo, most of your comments were unneeded. A person cannot rip apart a clan without using deceit. Any decisions made by the members of CheF were their own and not LoveLess'.

EcHo, cool it, you're against us getting a forum, you've made a few points, and your input is taken in by admins and Dyne itself, we get that, Loveless should have actually spent more than 2 weeks before making a new thread, we have some stuff planned, but he just decided to repost this and start the war all over again.

Not because im a member of Dyne, but I think that there wont be much damage from giving Dyne a forum. The benefits in this situation out-balance the negative effects so I see no reason why they shouldn't get one. Now, I am a member sort of, like im 50/50. I respect Dyne, I enjoy being with the members of Dyne, they're all really nice people, immature at times and to an extent lacking of understanding of their actions, but I enjoy their company. Aside from that, what I have seen Loveless and RawR alone produce takes simple ideas and produce them to a quality that is fun to play, whilst asthetically pleasing. Now, members may not have posted their maps on the site, and I think if anything that's the only reason Dyne shouldn't get a forum if anything. However, I myself have made some maps that I would submit, only if I had them on my computer still.

Sunken D Zonz - This is probably corruped now because of the overlapped map name and teams, aside from this the map should still work. (This was a combination of work from myself and O)KABOOM(O)
Ocean of Fire - This was a map I submitted to a contest and tied 4th place getting an honorable mention.
The Void - This was a map I submitted to SEN's final map contest, which never did get rated.
[xM] Ball - This map is no longer capable of working on current patches dues to the x4 speed.

I am sure there are more maps i've completed but I forget (tis been a while), and even then it doesn't show the knowledge of mapping I have. My biggest problem at this point is that I find no time to work on maps, my life is simply too hectic. However I do have several maps that I could finish pretty fast if I took the time to balance them or if I just added one or two more triggers...

So at the end of this post, im now finishing with a summary. Clan Dyne has little reason to get a forum, and much need for one. They are a fun and kind bunch of kids and ask little of you IP, Moose and Tau

I think what IP was saying was that basically he set up a forum for Dyne that was ready to be added to SEN, but after looking at all the negatives in this thread, he's holding it back.

To me, this is very reminiscent of a certain clan on SENv4 that wanted a forum, petitioned to get one, and - despite a slew of negative feedback - got the forum. Over the next 2 or 3 days, the leader kept deleting all the topics in the forum, edited posts from people he didn't like, and eventually banned loads of people who he felt were a nuisance. If I remember correctly, the clan died a week or so later.

So I'm not saying Dyne will necessarily share the same fate, but this is how it started for that other clan.

I remember a similar incident that occurred at Maplantis. The clan was named Dyne.

Actually, no. I can't for the life of me remember what the hell that clan's name was, though. Hmm..

We had a lack of activity, so I asked Yoshi to get rid of it. He didn't just take it upon himself, I decided that since people weren't using it, it should be deleted.

lolwut? So we just need to clean out all of the members that we have that, don't want to be in Dyne, just accepted the invite for S&G, are not mappers at all.

The way this thread is going do you really think a Clan Forum would be useful or necessary? It's just a small look at things to come.

Maybe you could try hosting your own website/forums first and see how that goes first. Then ask for a forum here to get more activity/feedback on your clan/maps.

Also I really haven't seen anything spectacular that says "Clan Dyne deserves a forum on Staredit.net". Like the tons of maps I see and play made by members of Oo. Or the great mods by Clan MM. Clan Oo has also been around for a long, long time. I don't think you have proven yourself to SEN or the administration.

Keep Trying, Keep your Clan Active, and Keep making maps and you will get it eventually IMO.

I'm trying to make some small, nice maps for the public of SEN to chew on. Our members typically focus on large projects, I myself have about four large projects that are 10-50% done and I couldn't complete them because I lost a partner, lost interest or didn't like the overall result.

Anywho, I doubt we are getting a forum here. No big deal.
