Mapedit.Net seems more appropriate and reasonable. M.E.N unite! Or we can name it after the starcraft II map editer because this site is named after the starcraft I of it.

Stay staredit.net, but change the abbreviation to Starcraft Editing Network, like I believe Laser suggested. And of course I have a very nice layout in my head using teal for lulz.

No way we need to change the name or URL. This isn't as much a "merger" as it is a "return". Maplantis is in no position to make demands of the site it broke away from when it wants to come back. Cut that shit out.

It's not about not being staredit network anymore... it's more SC2 and mod friendly. I support the change.

I said this back on Maplantis, but frankly "Maplantis dies and Maplantians go to SEN" was exactly what I was against. I'll not stand for an assimilation. A merger, in which both parties benefit from each other was what I had in mind. An agreement to put together two powerful parties to make a more powerful party. Maplantians should be in a position of power, perhaps moreso than others, because we've lost all our work, our community, and given it all to you. So don't you dare give us that.

I'm still very open to the possibility of importing topics as well. I really hate losing data. Even stupid stuff like deleting old shouts makes me... angry *nudgemoosecough*

Since maplantis thread is closed before I had a chance to say anything about the proposed merger and its now becoming a reality I'll just say this:

Whoever is in charge, please don't randomly disappear or go inactive. That shit is annoying.

How about dropping the 'me' and 'you' distinction that'll just cause us all problems later. This really isn't that big of a deal.

This will actually help me out with regards to AG and UMS Mod, in a way.

I don't think that's the best idea, because there are several dozen topics (or more) that were posted verbatim on both sites. That would leave a lot of clerical work; keeping a static copy is probably a better idea.

Hopefully we'll get the Maplantis wiki up here soon. There's no question it was a superior form of reference.
