hey guys,

I'm trying to edit upgrades for weapons etc to past 3. Also the native things like upgrade marine range are not even in SCMDRAFT2. What am I missing?! I have tried the latest official build and the latest build but no matter what I cannot seem to edit upgrades. I'm just trying to fix existing maps that are bugged, but even a brand new map I have no upgrade options. What am i screwing up? Screenshots attached

Thank you!!

You need to open the race menus where it says Zerg Terran Protoss Other by double clicking on the one you want to look at. This will open a dropdown menu with the upgrades/tech depending on which menu you're in. Then you can select whichever upgrade/tech you want to modify.

Just to note, certain upgrades are limited. The standard Armor/Shield Armor/Attack Damage Upgrades can go up to 255 but this isn't the case for things such as Marine Range which has a limited upgrade of just 1. Further modifications require EUD Editor 3 to modify further.

As a tip with upgrades, you can "give" research style upgrades (where limit is only 1) to players that don't have them conditionally during the middle of the game by giving the targeted recipient a unit from another player/computer that already has said upgrades.

Example:
Player 1 (Player) doesn't have Marine Range
Player 2 (Computer) has Marine Range
Give Player 2 Marine to Player 1 -> Now Player 1 has Marine Range.

Think of this rule similar to Dark Archon's Mind Control ability (which follows this same rule).

Side Note: There is an exception where you deny the upgrade by making it non-researchable (0/0 versus 0/1)

UndeadStar -- I wonder if that's what happened to me. A returned product (screen) was "officially lost" for a while before being found and refunded. Maybe it would have remained "lost" if I didn't communicate?

NudeRaider -- PSA: ASUS apparently decided their RMA department needs to "become profitable" and for a while now outright tries to scam customers. They were called out on it a year ago, promised to change, but didn't. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pMrssIrKcY so my recommendation: Stop buying ASUS, and if you already have and need something RMA'd, make sure to not let them bully you into paying.
