Perhaps there is a way to upload videos at YouTube, and then have a section of the site dedicated to making them available for viewing?
There are a lot of ways in which such a feature could be implemented, although I'm not sure which would be preferable to everyone.
Hence why I never understand why sites feel the need to set up their own video services. Now we've completed the circle.
I don't really see that as a circle.
I explained why we felt the need to set it up, and in response you explained why something like YouTube would be better. I agreed, seeing as that's what we did before the SENtv idea and still do now, but that doesn't detract from why we felt the need to. Really the biggest thing was that we'd be able to edit the site's code to fit what we want and integrate SEN into it, rather than having no control over YouTube. Essentially we wanted to do what SC2Mapster and Curse ended up doing with SC2Replay (or whatever it was called).

Yeah, if you had enough content to fill it, then things like replays would make a good stream. I mean, I'd never watch a replay if it was just a YouTube video, but if it was part of a stream then I'm sure people would be linking to it all the time in the shoutbox, resulting in me checking it out sometimes.
Taking that into account, more interesting stuff like Let's Plays could be added, and would be watched simply because someone would be like "hey let's watch this cool thing."
I guess the main appeal would be the fact we'd always all be watching the same thing at the same time, and so it would give us a constant source of new content to watch together and discuss at any given time.
I'd watch it. Variety of games would be cool. I don't usually watch streams so anything would be abnormal to me. Commentators would need to be entertaining though.
None.
