Sac, how far along is your setting? We're getting pretty close to July, so we should probably start talking play schedule if the campaign development is on track.

I want to do sessions once a fortnight and a month break between chapters. The first chapter may be a bit... Interesting.

A fortnight's kinda a long time, how long are you thinking for each session? How many sessions in a chapter?

I don't know how long for each session, but 6 - 8 hours may be reasonable.

The chapters last until the I deem the chapter is completed. It could be as little as one session, or as many as twenty, but I will do my best to make it a 6 session average.

If you ask me you're a bit ambitious. This won't work. At least not here. Just look at Kame's RP. You're basically the only one playing. /2cents

Pssh. The set up looks entirely different here than mine. Besides, Tempz is playing too...and Bio is going to start soon (probably the next turn). I think Kanade is still playing, and Raccoon has been given the go ahead to pop in whenever he wants. except she hasn't been on in a while. It doesn't need constant involvement all the time...you just jelly I won't let you play!

We actually had 4 of us playing for Pieh's campaign, and that worked just fine. We have plenty more people signed up for Sac's, we're not playing it in a thread, and not everyone has to be there every session (although missing a session can make things awkward). This is completely different from Kame's RP.

Pieh's campaign wasn't as ambitious and thus manageable and fun. More people means more people not being available to a certain date.

It also means more parties which can be arranged based on availability.

I'm going to drop out of this. I've got a number of things I plan on doing this summer. Sorry. You should have enough players though. Good luck.

He's right you know, I'm a very ambitious fellow. Often to my detriment.

After a bit of reflection I don't know if I'm really up to the challenge. The world building isn't easy and running a campaign is no easy task. While I do love D&D and would probably enjoy being a GM, it's still a HUGE commitment. With my life moving into a grey area of uncertainty and I become ambitious about other things, I don't know if I could keep going with this. One of my biggest problems is making commitments that I can't keep, and I fear this is one of them. But I should own up to it and say that I'm not in this 100%.

There's plenty of activity picking up on the site, with contests now budding up and a lot to focus on, it could be easy for me to overwhelm myself. So I am deciding to back off and not run the campaign. You guys definitely deserve someone who is better than me. I do feel bad if I got anyone's hopes up.

My story was already elegantly planned out, and I have no intention of revealing any of it. If anyone wishes to use it or any elements they're more than welcome to PM me for details.

TL;DR: I am too damn ambitious. Calling it quits before I bury myself.

Alright, well, in that case, do we have anyone who wants to take over for Sac? If no one else volunteers, I could try it, but I've only ever been on the player side of DnD.

Are we still going to play Pathfinder, or is it DnD now?

It's still Pathfinder, but Pathfinder is basically a subset of DnD made by a different publisher anyway.
