she/her

I instantly think smokers are bad people. Same with people dressed in revealing clothing. And people who drive fast. I can't stand that.

And some other miscellaneous things I can't recall at the moment.

Not altering gravity but the amount of gravity currently affecting you.
I do not know about humans, but meteoroids have been entering our atmosphere for billions of years. They get the change of no gravity to full gravity.
Fail.

Any object within the solar system is being affected by the gravity of the Sun at the very least and also the other planets to minute amounts.

No, murderers are bad people. Rapists are bad people. Just because somebody does something you don't approve of doesn't make them a bad person. Get off your high horse.

But, yeah.. ummm... I think a lot of the user base here could gain a lot from getting out in the world and living a bit. I don't know any of you, but a lot of you remind me of myself when I was prepubescent. I felt like I was king of my little internet bubble, and then... -poof-. Maybe I'm wrong, though. I hope so, lol.

Right, we need to "live a bit" because we choose not to destroy our health and waste money for no tangible benefit aside from "fun" and "relaxation" that can be had in many other less destructive and cheaper ways.

I think you're having trouble with my post. The first part had to do with smoking, the second part did not. You were soooo close, though!

I'm assuming that your "get out and live" thing is mostly based on the other thread where everyone was dissing on smokers and you were one of the few people defending it.

Not quite. Just by reading a few threads on this forum you start to pick up that there are certain people who are convinced they know the answer to every problem in the world. You read a page or two about ethics, global warming, etc. on Wikipedia, and it's like you know everything there is to know. At the age of 16, they've figured the world and all its nuances out! It reminds me of me, lol. But I think going out, opening your mind to the other side of the coin, trying new things etc. could really benefit a lot of the young people here. It helped me.

You don't seem to have figured out the world at the age of 20, either. Naivete is not something that magically disappears when you hit the proverbial "18 years" mark of growth, and it would be nice if you did not imply that such an attribute is behind you.

The entire point behind my post was to communicate that I was well aware I haven't figured the world out, in contrast to the several people who, to me, go about their business in discussions as if they are. I stated multiple times that I feel I came across in the same manner in my past, but in retrospect I was just a stupid 16 year old who participated in one too many discussion forums, lol. I didn't mean to imply that naivete is something that only plagues younger folk, what I was really trying to say is that I think younger people, especially when they are intelligent at that age(as many of the members here are), tend to think they know more about the world, life, etc. than they actually do.. Which wasn't exactly my original unfounded statement, but meh.

Who said all? If it makes you feel better, I said "a lot of the userbase", but I think that might have been a bittttttt of an overstatement. The truth is, I probably don't recognize 75% of the users here, and the ones I do recognize are probably the ones that I consciously note the behavior in. A bit of confirmation bias, then. Apologies.

I don't know which is more hilarious, that my comment was taken seriously or the ensuing discussion.

Oh definitely the ensuing discussion. Taking your comment seriously actually isn't that far fetched I think, looking back on the smokers I know. . .
