Would you consider posting individual judging posts in hiders for each map, to give the contestants more insight as to what they did right, what they did wrong, and how they could improve?

The policy on this is that it is strictly up to you. You may post/PM your scores in which ever way you choose after the results are posted, or may request that it gets added to the results posts (I suppose I could have an option for the initial posting for this in the future). It's only confidential until the resutls are posted.
Contestants also may request an individual's score from the judge, but they're not under any obligation to comply.

Could you post mine, for both maps?
Fin, your wish is my command.

Jack's the best map maker ever!
Lol only 2 maps... I think the problem here is not enough time is given but that just imo. Maybe give 2 - 3 months? But then again some people can make good makes in a short period of time.

Giving people more time means you're giving them more time to procrastinate. The problem is that very few people want to make maps anymore. I opened SCMDraft2 for the first time in years when I saw this contest, and then closed it shortly after due to lack of patience and motivation. I imagine it's the same for a lot of people.

I've seen a map made in an hour that would rank alpha tier, and a handful that would rank beta.
Improving involvement is certainly a good thing, but a lot of the feed back I'm getting was simply that it was a bad time for them. Not much I can do about that; people are very busy this time of year with a new year of college and stuff. As summer winds down people tend to focus more on work/extracurriculars. Perhaps in November we'll get more activity. I know I've got a lot to iron out and add to really smooth things out and in a way, I'm glad it wasn't too big; it would have been a huge headache to deal with a high volume of traffic for the first contest.

After the grace period has ended, yes.

I liked the idea. I just couldn't come up with a good enough gameplay concept utilizing tanks to attempt making one. My Engineererz map wasn't terribly impressive, as I recall.

I like what you did with the... crapload of tanks that kill eachother O.o

Lol... These influx of maps just gave me an idea; Starcraft mentors.
It works like this mentors guide a mentee through different things unfortunately i only can guide people on terrain =s. But terrain mentoring is pretty much useless with terrain requesting.

Is there such thing as a mentor that gives you more motivation to finish stuff?

i'll be waiting for next contest, I didn't even notice it
...
Can still maps be sent? (only for fun purposes)
None.
Just upload them here.
And don't worry, the November contest will be much better planned.

You may request one on one help from a junior judge; they're even allowed to tell you how to improve your map.
