Occasionally Blizzard is pragmatic rather than dogmatic, and realise that if they distribute a beta so widely and try and keep it under NDA it just won't work. This isn't 1998 any more.
Very true. I seem to recall we had an NDA for the F&F beta of SC2, and that didn't stop a lot of people. Considering how short this beta is and how quick you can beat it, I imagine Blizz just doesn't care.

They'll probably release PvP in the closed or open beta. That has to be tested before launch too, right??
Perhaps. I heard the beta ends in December, so maybe they'll unlock it closer to the end. Then again, they've been internally testing it for over a year and monitoring it at all the conventions they bring D3 to, so maybe they assume that's enough testing data. I'm not sure.

So I guess it would be right to assume that the later levels of the game will probably be more buggy then the early levels because no one except the developers will get to beta test them?
Yip.
This is probably going to be Blizzard's roughest release ever (if you don't count initial WoW server problems).
None.
I'm not old enough to really say, but wasn't sc1 originally really rough on release?

No, it was better. Just look at the back of your box.
I don't think so. Nothing that you normally played with was really broken.
Here's a post about the current bugs in the beta:
http://diablo.incgamers.com/blog/comments/known-diablo-3-beta-bugsissuesOf course this is a beta, but some of those issues really are quite fundamental/obvious and as noted in the post itself several of them are environmental/quest related.
None.
I was informed that Blizzard simply turned off some things present in the game for beta (some environmental features). So I think the game is considerably more complete than what the beta may allude to.
Show them your butt, and when you do, slap it so it creates a sound akin to a chorus of screaming spider monkeys flogging a chime with cacti. Only then can you find your destiny at the tip of the shaft.

Unnnnggggg ooooh GOD YES. Blizzard just released a skill calculator on their Diablo 3 page, allowing you to toy around with builds for all five classes, including every single skill, every single runestone combination, and all passives.

I can confirm this. The beta contains very limited destructible objects and even some physics features have been disabled. Environment features like fog and lighting is also dumbed down. The beta is mainly to test the mechanics and user interface with obvious bug hunting too.
None.

Yeeh nice find Lanth. I played it, so awesome!!! Hopefully that guy will post better cracks soon. Also, when I turn on V-Sync my D3 beta looks better, why is that??
I have a question: which class can farm the best? Like kill the most masses of weak things. I basically want what I can level up the fastest.

It's much too balanced for question like that. It's not like WoW were diff classes have diff roles all 5 classes are DPS.
In the beta, there are two classes that are definitely slower: witch doctor and demon hunter.
Blizzard are going to re-jig the demon hunter by moving their skills around.
However the beta is only 1/3 of Act 1, and the game is 4 acts long, so it's really not much to go on.
None.
Actually I found Witch Hunter to be one of the fastest for farming. Barbarian is definitely the best for that, in my opinion, but Witch Doctor comes second. You can have his 3 summoned dog creatures attack things as you put curses on creatures that keep spreading, killing everything around you. That spell ended up killing things faster for me than constant cleaving from the Barbarian.
I finished the beta in the slowest time with the Demon Hunter, though. That class seems to be more dependent on precise killing methods rather than constantly spamming some aoe thing to kill a group of enemies. You can certainly spam his/her aoe shot, but it didn't seem to be as effective as when you'd use other classes' aoe abilities.

The fiery gates leading to the Burning Hells have begun to swing open, and the Diablo III beta test is officially underway. Invitations to participate in the beta test are now being delivered to the chosen heroes. As with beta tests for other Blizzard Entertainment games, the testing process for Diablo III will occur in phases. In addition to selecting players who have opted in via their Battle.net accounts, we’ll also be providing keys through beta promotions and giveaways -- stay tuned for more info. We welcome those invited to provide feedback or report bugs on the official forums.

If someone wants to do me a favor, I would like to have a key to give to my sister... she really wants to play d3! It would mean a lot to me and her. I'm not joking. She just got out of college, is ...23?... etc, etc, real person.

If I get an invite, I'll probably give it to someone on here.
