if any of you still remember me, i've been living life for the past two or so years. i wish my laptop had a better video card so i can partake in the epicness of sc2.

anyways, thought i'd share with you a little accomplishment of mine that i've been adding to ever since i left starcraft and became one with reality.

with the help of my new-fangled dslr thing, i present to you:

(and with aids adobe photoshop 5 and light room 3)

Go away, I was 6 days from overcoming your activity.

But seriously, nice photography you got going on there.

I think he's trying to present his photography skills will also simultaneously subtly saying "look at my awesome car, jealous?".

If he were really just trying to show off his photography, he could've picked photos of multiple different subjects. He didn't, so I have to assume there's a reason for that. The 2nd and 4th shots aren't even anything special.

^what he said. that plus i haven't really taken pictures of anything that i'd want to put on here.

on that note, here's attempt #1 at shooting a droplet of water:

couldn't figure out how to focus on the water (or at least where the water was).

after talking to the same photographer that shot my senior picture for high school, he mentioned that i use something (a pencil) and place it where the water would be and lock the focus and shoot the picture.

here's the results:

if you zoom in and look at the last larger drop, you can actually see my faucet upside down :hurr: <- lol miss that face

my stock flash on my camera will only allow a flash sync of 1/200, so the water still moved, slightly, but you get the idear.

a guy on the nikon forums shot this:

but he has a rig and what not.

that second shot was the first one i tried with the fine point focus (mr. pencil) which was shot with the camera sideways resting on my hand. :P (that's how the pros do it)

actually, its a wasp.

after shooting my car i went to open my door and this bee was flying all near me and stuff so i waited for it to land on the ground, so i can smash it with my foot, and the damn thing lands on my spoiler, so i decided to take a nice macro shot. :)

Vrael -- Like I'm not sure if I want to invest in a permanent one, or maybe just go with a rental option. And do I need a compact, single-room dehumidifer, or should I go with a more powerful industrial unit?
