ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

I recently discovered that my car has a support for CDs with text tracks, which got me to think about replacing some of my normal ipod through the radio listening time with non-staticy CD audio.

So then, after discovering I like quite a few songs which are not made in the US, I think I'll make a CD dedicated to as many countries as I can. Here's a few songs I know of, and if you have a particularly favorite russian, indian, french, or maltan song, please mention it and I may stick it on there.

China: Meng Bu Luo
Sweden: Caramelldansen
Russia: Goluboy vagon (unless I can find something better, or another Cheburashka song)
Japan: so many to choose from... Probably Bad Apple.
Korea: Gee or Seoleim
Panama: Chacarron Maccarron (though I'd like to avoid joke songs like this and tunak tunak)
India: Dola Re Dola
Moldova: Dragostea din Tei

That's all I can think of, so please, add more, as this isn't even half a CD.

Relatively ancient and inactive

Russian
Bi-2: Silver (Acoustic version)
Krematori - Romeo and Juliet
Butusov - Woman on the Road
Tantsi Minus - Romance
Zemfira - Forgive me, my love
Kino - Blood Type
Zveri - Small C
DDT - Belonging-to-Autumn
Lube - Combat

Artists are transliterations, song names translations. Some of my favorite artists. The first one is at last.fm because the acoustic version is very hard to find otherwise - it has a great instrumental part at the end.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

I have no idea what your taste is, so I'll just give you a wide variety of songs I like.

Belgium: Milow - Ayo Technology (Milow has a bunch of interesting songs)

Britain: HURTS - Wonderful life

Germany: Die toten Hosen - Ertrinken

Germany: Silbermond - Krieger des Lichts

Germany: Max Mutzke - Can't wait until tonight

Germany: Fettes Brot - Jein

Germany: Marquess - Vayamos Companeros

Finland: HIM - Join me (sry for crappy live mix)

Sweden: Eric Prydz - Call on me

Australia: Kylie Minogue - Can't get you out of my head

Australia: Nick Cave & Kylie Minogue - Where The Wild Roses Grow

Tell me which of those you like and I might find more.

Are you sure about that?

REDALiCE is the most similar I can think of, of what I have in my music library at least.

Or you can go directly to the source, Alstroemeria Records. I have not tried it out so I cannot tell you if their style is consistent or if it just a bunch of stuff taped together, but I have heard it is good.

Bad Apple isn't the best song, but the fact that it was used in a 3DPV with silhouettes identifiable as touhou characters made it insanely popular. I would have picked it as well.

Diversity for cramming multiple languages into the same song: :awesome:

(Russian, Latin, English) <--- Chinese subtitles too if you want to count that, but... =P

Russian singer Origa's vocals, composer = Yoko Kanno. A lot of the GitS tracks are like this.

There are definitely other songs with many more languages mixed into them, but I still prefer Inner Universe over the others, since too much variation usually just leads to chaotic interruption of flow.

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

I haven't made my mind up yet on japan. I might even pick yoru sou. Bad apple was popular back when it was made in 2004/5/whenever...

someone on nico just wanted to make a good video of it. I think the video about the video has more views than the silhouette version.

Thanks everybody. It will take a while for me to listen to them all.

TheHappy115 -- Yea, thats the issue. Thanks. It would also explain why my deleted map couldn't get updated. Updated version reduced collision on units (only thing added) since was dodging game (players collide with each other)

Ultraviolet -- If so, I'd just focus on getting them on scmscx.com and then you can link to that in the showcase thread for your maps

Ultraviolet -- I can't upload my EUD maps, I think the DLDB has some issue with handling them. Are you trying to upload EUD maps?

TheHappy115 -- Its been awhile but ever since I requested one of the Maps I posted to be deleted since I couldn't delete it myself (or update it), I haven't been able to upload any more maps. Any reason for that?
