Very helpful. I wish there was a popular site with the database of all maps that were made. We need people to start uploading lost maps so they wont get lost.

I think something like this would be nice to have in the portal or something. "Related Sites" Display 4 or 5 of the main ones, then have a link "more" to all of them, with very detailed description.

HEY U USE THE WEB.ARCHIVE.ORG, i use the Way Back Machine often to, its very useful, if it wasn't for the damned robots.txt<br />this is funny, you bring two back and u lose 2 more. StarEdit Network & RakRent just came back up, yet Maplantis & in-Forge go down. Though I think Maplantis is just really screwy, maby a bad web hosting service and I think in-Forge was a incomplete website and the webmasters need to complete it

We live in a society.

I seriously need to get that thing that shows all a member's posts running... I really wonder what people with 200 posts have to discuss so much. :P

Sep 3 2007, 6:41 pm DT_Battlekruser Post #13

Well, I told IP that any sortable post count shouldn't count Null posts, but I think the 230-odd posts comes from this: http://www.staredit.net/?topic=9

Not quite 'discussing', but they're having fun.

I still dislike the whole "what are you listening to" thread. It has no productivity whatsoever, as nobody even reads the previous posts. But whatever, that's just me :P

this has importance, if StarEdit Network goes down again, where will people upload their maps (other than Bnet of course). Also what are the competitors and partners of here. Is SEN the only mapping community around? People want answers to these questions.

If SEN goes down, this list isn't going to be around to help people either.

We're capable of finding other places to meet if we absolutely need to.
