dont you agree? from the city to the arch, its freaking insane! but i think they could have made it better and longer than that, if they werent in such a rush to get it out there on market. Ive played halo 3 and i was a bit disappointed in its length =/ but its still like legendary on normal, so whats legendary like :dontgetit: oh jeeze lol... that would suck...

tbh, I was rather disappointed. Halo singleplayer was better and Halo 2 multiplayer was better :|
Me and three friends completed the game on Legendary, wasn't that hard. Didn't find any mission very entertaining compared to those in the two first games.
Assault on the Control Room <3

But Assault on the Control Room was just about the most fun level in any Halo game... The best thing about the campaign was flying the Hornets. The fight against two Scarabs was almost as entertaining, but the whole thing just wasn't as great as I had hoped. The Spartan Laser was just about the biggest letdown in the game.

CHIEF!!!! NOOOO!!!!!!!

The funnest level was Cortana. It creeped me out a bit too.

And about the legendary comment: I played through the game on heroic, it is not like legendary...but very hard still.

Personally, I enjoyed the single player of H3 over H2's, but Halo still had the best. But multiplayer is still the best by far on Live, but Halo 2 had better multiplayer for splitscreen. Halo 3 just doesn't have any maps that good for 1v1, like Ascension was. But, it's still a good game.

Wheres the Metroid Prime 3: Corruption people bashing this thread.

I dont want to seam mean, but Halo 3 didnt get super awesome cool controls like Mp3 did, its so easy to aim and fire and kill on manual aim mode.

It's not the Xbox 360's fault it doesn't use Wiimotes. :P

The game was definitely shorter than I would have liked but it was in no way "rushed" to market. They had an entire extra year to work on it, and instead of extending the campaign they added stuff like Forge, Theatre, and the meta-campaign.

Halo 2 multiplayer was better
No. This statement is stupid as fuck. Halo 3's multiplayer is nearly identical to Halo 2, excluding BXR, BXB, super jumping and other cheats. The only difference is that Halo 3 has MORE to it. Considering the "more" is entirely optional, it cannot possibly be worse unless you enjoyed all the cheating from Halo 2.

I don't know what you're talking about when it comes to difficulty. Halo 3 on Legendary is barely as hard as Heroic in the first two. Its virtually impossible to die in Halo 3 on Normal. The game is designed to let you use the skulls in conjunction with the difficulty setting. Halo 3 on Legendary will all skulls on = Teh hard. No Blackeye of course.

And Cortana is hands down the worst mission in Halo 3. No one would ever suggest it was good.

Maybe you should watch past the credits.

Not really. I have a Wii and play it as much as my 360 but gimmicky controls do NOT make the game.

Isn't it just Halo 2 with better equipment and somewhat neater graphics?

Dec 6 2007, 8:51 pm Minority Post #16

Yep, that's exactly what it is. It's Halo 2 (which was fun), with better equipment (which makes it a lot more fun), and somewhat neater graphics (which makes the fun look better).

I don't know why everyone hates on this game because it's a sequel. OF COURSE it's going to be the same game with better stuff, what do you expect? A completely new storyline with completely different gameplay? You could say, 'Oh, StarCraft 2 is just the original with some new units and better graphics.' and call everyone who can't wait for it a 'stupid fanboy'.

I agree that this game was overrated, but it's an incredibly fun series, and each instalment brings new fun and excitement. I played it over at a friend's house and it was fucking awesome. I love it.

All the Halo games are overrated, and blessed with cool names.

Dec 8 2007, 8:36 am brutetal Post #19

lol the word overrated it self is so cliche xD

We use it on whatever is popular on the main stream of society.
I think the word overrated lost all meaning.

The Halo Trilogy remains in its own corner, especially in entertainment history.
Complain all you want, but it won't change the game.

I have always found that people are pissed at sequels no matter what...If they change the units around/modify the guns people get mad, and what the hell are they to do save that? Not make a sequel?
