My all time favorite comic series is being turned into a movie. I've never been so excited about anything ever. Thoughts?

Very amusing. I haven't heard of the comic, regrettably.

Michael Cera was such a bad choice. He doesn't even act. Because of Michael Cera being in it and the use of the CG in the background, my social circle is going to put me in the position of paying to see this because I probably don't have anything better to do on the movies opening night. Shit had potential.

I take this back, I'm not sure if he is or isn't good for the role but I just noticed this movie has the same director as Hot fuzz and Shaun of the dead. It all makes sense now.

I know the whole point is that it contain that "Exaggerated" flavor but for most (from what I got from the trailer) of it they just got it wrong. I'm gonna cringe at some parts with "Did this guy really say/do that?... I payed for this". I feel like this is going to be above a spoof movie but not that much. Then again I thought Kick ass was gonna suck but they had that scene where they lit those guys on fire and the girl had that puke light. (tried to be as vague as possible to not spoil the plot for those who haven't seen it yet).

Feels indifferent man.

Michael Cera is the worst possible choice for Scott Pilgrim ever, but the comics are very over-exaggerated, so I think they captured the comics as much as possible.

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

I've been told that I'd love the comics. Not sure how I feel about this film so far, but that's mostly based on Michael Cera. It's unfortunate that he will always be type-cast as the neurotic "George Michael Bluth" character from "Arrested Development."

I do love the director, Edgar Wright, though.

aka idmontie

I hate over exageration and partially M.C., so I highly doubt I'll like this, but I'll reserve final judgment for when I see it on DVD.

What else did he make? Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the dead (well not SO much shaun) were pretty bad movies... or at least I've been told that Americans would think they are bad because they contain A LOT of European humor so it wouldn't make much sense to Americans.

Weird. I feel as though I got my monies worth. I enjoyed it thought I think it's because of 'this' factor. I don't know if it has a name to use to refer to it but 'that' factor that I'm talking about is that parts that normally wouldn't be funny or or amazing Is funny because their are people with you (or in some cases no people with you).

It's something you are going to have to see in theaters to enjoy.

The part where they did the whole Seinfield skit made me lol so hard.

Both hilarious movies. Not to mention Hot Fuzz was parodying mostly american cop action movies.

Hot fuzz didn't even 'start' for me until the end of it. I found it boring. Shaun was better but stale. Maybe I just hate THAT actor, I forget his name.

Relatively ancient and inactive

I don't typically watch that many movies these days, probably won't watch this. The commercials I saw looked boring, though.

I've heard nothing but good things about this. People who loved the comics loved this movie. I look forward to seeing this, but I'll probably wait till it's on DVD. I don't think my friends would really like this and going to movies alone is lame.

Just Here For The Pie

I saw it the other night. It was extremely entertaining. It had too many good moments to list all of them.
My favorite might be when Scott jumps out the window when trying to avoid Knives.

I never read the comics, though I have seen them.

I thought Hot Fuzz was freaking hilarious. Same guy directed Scott Pilgrim? Never heard of it, but I think I may try to find the time and cash to watch it.

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

British humor is subtle. Hot Fuzz was pretty slow in the beginning, but they really had to develop the story. Shaun and Fatboy were easier to keep entertaining. That being said, I liked Hot Fuzz the best. It's a 5. Every time you watch it you catch something else.

I loved the gag where the decapitation was declared a car accident due to speeding. XD

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
