One factor in favor of SEN hosting for anti-hacks is
trust: people who are used to getting map-making programs off of SEN are going to be much more comfortable downloading an anti-hack off of here than from a random hacking site, where many of the programs are likely to be virus-infected. More people might have anti-hacks if they were available here than if they were only available through hacking sites, and that'd be a good thing. Even if Zyn and the other hack-makers update their programs to counter, it will always take some time for every hack-user to update; besides, even if the overall number of hackers doesn't significantly decrease, it's still better for them to get a little bit of what they deserve than none of it. Right now, in-map anti-hacks are at their weakest level (relative to available hacks) in over half a decade; I'd like something to fight back with, even if the thing only works
once before it's countered, just to keep the fuckers from feeling like they've achieved safety.
So yeah, bring on the anti-hack support.
None.
On the slim chance that this poll means anything and anti-hacks end up being allowed, we need an extremely prominent notice stating that the efficacy of these hacks is not guaranteed, and that a hacker can reverse-engineer them to make them stop working at ANY TIME, WITHOUT WARNING.

this, 100%.
this, 110%
EDIT: The first anti we host should be anti-drop, because that is SC's BIGGEST threat.

SEN policy is not going to change. Stacraft isn't even going to be a large priority in a couple of months with SC2 being the main focus.
Can you people please find a way to be productive and stop your bitching? I think that'd help more than your
anti-hacks are going to.
ok, Ex, I hope you've noticed that people have already begun making SCII hacks.

There are "good" hacks and "bad" hacks. The "bad" hacks (eg, a drophack) either steal something or have potential to be used maliciously (regardless of "good" features). "Good" hacks (eg, SCMDraft2.) features fix things and can provide protection and do not have any potential to be used maliciously. It does not seem that there is any true harm done from hosting "good" hacks because they do not have the potential for abuse.
It sounds to me like you're being fairly unreasonable, it's just as Moose said, there's no real harm in allowing it, and I think that since he says it, that's as good as a policy change to me. At this point though, this thread should probably be closed, it's simply becoming a center for light flaming, and the point has already been made.
