I get the feeling this map isn't gonna get off the ground, judging your demeanor. You should put some groundwork into the map first, and you'll find the ideas just start flowing from there. Hit up the interwebs, there are literally thousands of puzzles, riddles, quandaries you can find to incorporate into your map.
The multiplayer component is particularly alluring, many of your puzzles could have team-based solutions in mind (think Strip Sakura). Many more could simply be standard single-player puzzles, but brainstorming would allow the participants to come to a solution in a more involving an enjoyable manner. You could also enforce single-player style components - by splitting the players up, removing their vision of each other - and having them work through different puzzles in order to group back up again.
I've got a fudgeload of ideas brimming under the surface, I'll name a few puzzles I have from HA:
*bound style explosion run which is activated by two seperate switches for each player (requiring two players hit the switch and 1 player runs the bound).
*hot potatoe style timed item pass. players get an item out of a booby trapped place, and then have to pass it to each other (through holes in the wall, that player then runs to the next hole in the wall, etc.) before a mystical force teleports the item back to its starting place.
*this one probably won't work too well for you but hey you may find use of it - a NPC tells you a riddle, the answer to the riddle is an item, which you must bring back to the NPC to answer the riddle correctly.
*evasion, stealth elimination of guards, when invading a city the players have to get from point A to point B without tripping an alarm, this is done by bound-style outmaunevering the guards, oppurtinistic elimination of the guards, and creating distractions. this particular puzzle had multiple paths to get to the ending.
OK, hope that sets the chain reaction of creativity and maptastic passion in your brain which will eventually culminate in you completing a bad ass puzzle map, if not well - at least I tried.
