I feel like I'm unable to stop updateing/changing the systems and certain aspects of my map. I've noticed some very nice maps from some participants and feel that with my map left with so much to do before I can actually say "it's done!" that I cannot compete. However, this does not mean I will stop production of my RPG but I promise it will be #1 for the last stand 2010 challenge since we all know Blizzard will not be releasing Starcraft II anytime soon :P :bleh:

Good Luck to everyone! I'm very excited to play some of your RPGs. If you would like to see mine I would love to show it to you. It is playable and I could have a "demo" ready but I won't have much SC time for the nest 2 weeks, 12 hour shifts suck!

It would be nice to see a current list of the judges so we can bribe them...I MEAN ?!?!?! :><:

My map will be ready later today or early morning tomorrow, been working on my map non stop and my eyes hurt @_@

Kaias said we're having a possible dual contest.

One contest for selected judges.

Another by the community.

I am totally missing the "Best atmosphere" category. I find that to be a really important aspect of a RPG.

I agree; I'll add this one.

Many participants have been telling me they need more time and want to tack on a couple more weeks onto the deadline. I don't haven't an opinion either way, but if enough people really want me to extend it by a week or two then I will. It is the community's Challenge anyway.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

EXTEND IT PLEASE !

bughunting isn't that fun and takes a while in my map (translating + importing + waiting ingame = a few minutes)...

I second this.

I support the idea of extending the deadline, as many people still seem to be in the stage of polishing their maps. The extra time would allow the contestants to finalize and test their maps more carefully, and insure that we get to play maps with considerably less bugs and errors.

I completely agree that this is much more of an exhibition of maps than a competition, and therefore it will be much better for everyone if the contestants are let to finish up their projects appropriately.

Also, from a PM from Falkoner (he is currently suspended):
"Oh man, a week or 2 extra would be such a relief, and you may get to see the finished version of the map if that's the case. I'm all for it, and I think most people in the contest are too."

I am against 2 extra weeks because my map is completed on time and the two extra weeks will drastically decrease my chances of winning.

It's not about winning, it's about releasing high quality maps etc. I may try get my map done if there's extra time.

'Most innovative' and 'most creative' seem to be too similar. Also, I can judge if I get rid of the terrible lag.

Oh awesome; I said this a while ago and it was completely ignored. Probably because I included like 2 paragraphs of explanation.

I don't mind two weeks, though, it will be more like 1 week for me since I'm leaving to visit family >.>

I should be able to just release my demo today.

I think two weeks might be a bit too much, one week sounds okay though.
