Sorry, I was the only moderator at the time and wasn't handling reports due to the ... incidents with IP.

Ive admired you, Kellimus for quite some time, but im sorry to say your wrong here. For proper melee in todays mapping, there are things to take into account and based on your advice you were recommending things that would have fit with older starcraft mapping but have since been abandoned on both pro and amateur levels.

Titan, Kelli is how he is, i respect him but hes not too easy to get along with, try not to pay attention to him if your easily offended. Kind of like devilesk. :-_-:

Id like to give input on the map but Titan as of thus far given the best advice as i see it.

Well, thank you for your generous usage of telling me how it is :) And you are correct. I come from old-melee style of things cause I'm "old school", and that's the mentality that I had.

I didn't take into consideration that times change, and so do melee maps (I figured that only the UMS were the ones that changed :-_-:)

Well my wrist is healing well, Im able to move it know, and use the mouse with it, insted of using my left hand for everything........

And as for the map itself i tried hard to make it somewhat pleasing.... I want this to be a playable map... lol

It was "playable" when you laid down a second start location. I do hope you aspire to something more than merely "playable". :P

Anyway, it looks good... the natural expansions might be a little bit too easy to hold due to the nice choke at the bridge, though.

It does seem a little simple. I mean, it's very straightforward. I liked it better when there was a way for players vertical from each other to fight, and not just by air.

I'll agree with Moose, these expos are too easy to protect / not easy enough for ennemies to attack...

You can't really lose the expo without losing your main at the same time (which brings back to say that you should just add more minerals to the main location instead ;P )

Jeez. You spend so much time on this topic arguing others and thats what you contribute when he finally comes out with a new edit? It's nice if one wants an unbalanced map, maybe you should learn that first before you try to give comments on melee maps.

Tazzy, theres two pretty big issues here:
1) When there is a natural expansion (the first impulse expansion a player goes to for resources) is inside the main base, it is important that there is no gas. The long tight choke in combination with two gas geysers and all those minerals make a mean turtling base for terran.
2) Look at this map and imagine two players in the bottom positions (or both top positions), how is the game going to progress if there is no expansion for both players? Sure it makes it more competitive at that point, but it can also take out a lot of quality game play later on forcing one player to be stuck in a main base while the other just blocks the choke point.

Suggestions: Regarding the expansions, take gas out of the in-base expansion, make a shorter chokepoint to bases, and maybe link those side islands to the middle where the big yellow circles are on my picture edit. Hopefully from there you can find a few places to add one more set of expansions? Good luck with the map.
