My problem began when I started using this laptop to map as I travel (Thanksgiving family get-together time). My brother had recently downloaded and installed the latest version of SCMDraft, overwriting v0.6.0.

I opened my map and began to place and name locations, but the first one I double-clicked on froze the editor. I had to forcequit, then I reopened it and tried again. The same thing happened when I double-clicked a location. For some reason, it doesn't always happen, and nothing goes wrong when I rename locations with the string editor OR when I single click a location and use the enter key to open its properties for editing.

Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?

The computer has been rebooted several times, so don't suggest that.

Final note - when I get home (tomorrow afternoon) the problem won't bother me any more, because I'll be switching back to my desktop, but at the moment it's rather bothersome - I've lost two or three hours of work because I forget that double clicking a location freezes SCMD. It's kind of a habit with me, understandably annoying.

None.

This has already been reported to the stickied ScmDraft topic. I don't know if it's fixed yet, but have you tried the most recent version, found in said topic?
If yes, you might want to got to www.stormcoast-fortress.net and try some older versions, like 0.8.0 or 0.7.3 .

I see you !

I have heard reports of this before but noone has been willing to run a debug version of scmdraft to track down the problem. If you are willing to test it some I would be grateful.

And threads like this are why the problem has never been fixed :P

Seriously this is stupid. People asking for help but not willing to help solve the problem.
As of now I will close all threads / delete all posts asking this question with a notice that they should PM you for a debug version, starting with this one.
