I(generally) like America. There are some issues I don't fully agree with, but for the most part, I think America's doing an ok job. I think, that if you don't really like America, and you're burning flags and what not cause you hate living here, move to Canada or Europe Why live somewhere you hate? and if you hate America, America hates you(Iraq is proof of that ). And even though there are hints of sarcasm and humor in this post, it still reflects my honest/serious view. RW&B bff

My views on America stands, it has yet to receive many critiques as a model of the entire world as the 'leading' nation.
I see alot of people hating America because others tell it to hate, or just because others like your friends, parents, or someone in the family hates. Don't follow that model.

Liberalism is a government ideal that individual liberty is the most important political goal. This goes hand-in-hand with American Democracy. Communism is a government in which every member is of equal status, no one is better or worse than you.

If anything, most atheists are the people who are open-minded, not the stubborn Christians that refuse to view logic and reason. Also, stop basing your opinions on atheists off of the few you met. It's like interviewing 1 American that supports Bush, and then say "100% of Americans support Bush!"

I feel that America is just like anywhere else, except maybe a little more closed minded on the majority.
I feel that Americans seem to either hate their country, or love their country, and none of them see that America really is just a huge pile of dirt where they live and there is a different government ruling over them.
I feel that Americans are generally okay people, it's more of a polital view that I oppose, however I am not pretending I know a lot about in-depth politics, I just know that the Death Penalty is wrong, that the war in Iraq is pointless, that the controversy on whether Bush is a good leader or not is a stupid controversial arguement to make in the first place and that generally everyone in America is obsessed with saying yes / no and never maybe.
And just so people understand what i meant by that, i meant that most the people on here, whom "coincidently" are from America, seem to think their opinion is the only one, that the other opinion is wrong and never truely look to find a solution that makes both people happy, unless they know that they cannot win and the only way to be included is to attempt to bridge, but that act is one of selfishness and so in the light of the situation Americans are generally Selfish.

I've stated that I am not religious. I do not attack those who follow religion. It is their choice, and decision on the matter. What right do I (or you, or anyone to that matter) have to try to force beliefs onto someone?

I consider myself economically moderate, socially libertarian. I think a great deal of regulation regarding business, as well as income and sales taxes should be discontinued, with the exception of corporations. Corporations exist to limit liability, which I do have a problem with. Income, sales, and property taxes should be replaced with gift and estate taxes. We want people to work for their money, don't we? Fascism is economic and social authoritarianism, which fits the neo-cons far more accurately. I am more libertarian than Ron Paul, I am More socialist then Kuscinich. I suppose you could consider me liberal in the classical sense, but where the hell do you get fascism from?
