My answer is a humble no.
So far Ive been denied any chance to do anything to help SEN, no matter how formal or behaved Ive acted that week or month. So far this month Ive rarely even posted, let alone have posts that lacked correct usage, mechanics, grammar, spelling, and etc. I've always felt that I could have taken on the job had Id only been given the chance, but every time Im struck down and told no because of past history.
This site is too damn dependant on the past and seams to have no care for the future. SC2 may or may not come, but whats for certain is when it does, we'll die as a community. We'll branch off in seperate directions, we'll lack able minded users of the new SC2 map editor, we'll lack faith as a whole in ourselves beacause few here can even use the WC3 editor. But most importantly, any crowd we do let part of this one, always turns out to be worst.
Face it, I think we've found all the sane minded mappers on bnet that bother coming on websites. Infact I dont think that, I
KNOW that. Yet we go on day to day advertising the name through our maps, telling people to come here for mapping assistance, and etc. WHO have we sent here that has finished a successful map? WHO have we told on bnet to come here has made a impacting impression on bnet for the sake of this community? WHO? Ill tell you.
Nobody.
And Ill tell you how I can tell you nobody. Its the fact that everything is deadlocked around here. The elites are elite, the spammers are spammers, the inactive are inactive, the active are active, and the same people are the same people. I constantly make these little posts trying to spark some kinda commotion or radacal movement that may once again bring hope to all, maybe a few maps out too. People forget the purpose of SEN, and V5 is not that purpose. V5 so far has been a waste of talent and such toward the face of the internet, while V4 yield'd something far greater, far marvolus, far better than what we call SEN now. Too many forget the old days, and we try to relive them by doing map contests, by having the same boards, hell by even having the same skin. But this is not the old SEN, too many know that yet say nothing, too many know it and leave.
So my answer is no. I know theres a lotta people that will say Yes that they want moderator. But do they know what they're moderating? The same 90 people that come here everyday, that produce 0 maps, that spend most of their time in the Null/SD/Compy/Games (Which might as well be renamed HoN and other games)/and the other less popular board below it. My point? Why would anyone want to waste their time doing unproductive work? The answer should be nobody...
