I just tried starting up starforge, and an error came up asking to locate my .mpq file. After locating my .mpq it says the registry has been updated and I need to restart starforge. I hit ok, and starforge opens up. From here, I try to open a map and an error pops up saying I can't load any sprites, due to my "missing" .mpq file..

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times to no avail.

Does anyone have any idea how this can be fixed?

Ok here are the exact error messages:

"Failed to open stardat.mpq!"

>>I hit ok

"SpritesLoad failed!"

>>I hit ok

"There was an error loading sprites.
This is most likely because StarForge can not find your stardat.mpq.
Please search for it yourself."

I go into my directory for starcraft and select my .mpq.

"Your registry settings have now been updated. Please restart starforge."

>>I hit ok

Starforge starts up automatically from here. Now I try to open a map.

"Failed to open archice "My stardat.mpq file in the correct directory""

>>I hit ok

"MPClass::Terrain Load failed!"

>>I hit ok

"Error opening "Your map""

And that's it :C!

Select a file inside the same folder as Starforge, that should do it IIRC.

It's asking for stardat.mpq, and won't allow me to select any file except stardat.mpq. IIRC?

[Edit]I get the same error messages even if I close starforge right after I am told to restart it..

[Edit2]I tried selecting a file in the starforge directory while it was asking for stardat.mpq.. Didn't work. I tried installing SF into my SC directory, didn't work. I tried copying all my .mpq's into my SF directory, didn't work.

[Edit3]I'm going to run a registry clean, and disk check. PLEASE post something if you think you can help in the mean-time.

[Edit4]Yeah that didn't work either.

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

starforge doesn't need an install. You sure you're using this one?

I've tried using that one, and like 5 other ones from like 5 other sites.

SDE, BWAPI owner, hacker.

Yeah I've had the same problem. Heimdal probably won't be able to fix it because of the work on Starforge: Ultimate (which is amazing now that many bugs are fixed).
