Another night is about to begin in Jafferville; a time for evil deeds and mischief.
Raccoon is coding to kill some time. He is waiting for a phone call. Just as he finishes writing the line “F(n+2) := F(n) + F(n+1);” the phone rings. He picks up the phone and starts talking to a man he knows and trusts:
Raccoon: Are you inside already?
Man on the phone: Yeah.
Raccoon: OK, tell me everything you see.
Man on the phone: It’s an ordinary room… A large desk with a computer on it is near the window. The chair has a bullet hole in the back and some blood on it. There is one big stain of blood on the floor not too far from the chair… And some small stains; they’re from small drops of blood. And… uhhh… some brain tissue near those small drops. Looks like he didn’t even notice the mafia come in.
Raccoon: OK, that’s all I need to know. Come over to my place, I have some guesses.
At this moment, Raccoon hears footsteps near his house. He looks out the window and notices two men walking towards the front door. He then whispers into the phone: “Don’t come here, they’re at my house! Don’t come here!” and hangs up. Raccoon then rushes to the back door, hoping that there are no mafia waiting for him there. As he opens the door and makes his first step over the threshold, he is punched in the stomach. He leans forward from the pain and falls on his knees. The mafia then aims his rifle at him and empties his whole clip into
Raccoon.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the town, EcHo is hastily walking to the old transmitter station. He knows that there is an old set of loudspeakers which he can use to translate his message. In his pocket is a CD with the message in a code-protected file and a piece of paper with “i1, e4, s5, t6, t9, a13, n14” written on it, which is a code that he used to help him memorize the file code. He finally reaches his goal and uses a crowbar to break the lock on the door. He pushes the door and as it opens, he notices a wire going from the internal side of the door to the wall. He realizes that it’s a trap, but it is too late to stop the door’s motion. The bomb behind the door is triggered, killing
EcHo before he can share his findings.
WoAHorde is sitting in his room, investigating the death of Ultimo. Several hours of reading and analyzing his own report on the case produced no results so far; only made the detective tired and thirsty. After a refreshing glass of juice, he takes a fresh look at the situation and one word hits his mind: the poster. WoAHorde recalls Ultimo once saying that he does not like “The Matrix” movie, yet on the very last page of the report it states that there was a poster of Neo on a wall near the window in Ultimo’s room. Why would a man who does not like the movie put a poster of Neo in his room? Perhaps the mafia put it there to hide something? This matter requites further investigation. WoAHorde puts on his body armor, takes his gun and leaves. As he is walking through a little park in the middle of the town, a mafia sniper notices him through the scope. Carefully choosing the moment to strike, the man places a perfect shot right between
WoAHorde's eyes.
This night, Chubacca decided to stay in his shop instead of going home, hoping this way he will be safer. Shots and the explosion from the previous murders kept him awake all night and the hunting rifle he held gave him an illusion of hope. The longer he stayed in his little shop, more nervous he got. When the first beams of sunlight fell on Jafferville, unable to stand the pressure any longer, he decides to leave the building. As he opens the door, a man that was waiting for him sprays some chemical into his face. It burns his eyes so hard that he grabs his face with both hands, dropping his weapon. Chubacca falls on the floor, screaming in pain: “I can’t see!!! Ahhhh!!! I can’t see!!!”. “Of course you can’t” the mafia replies. The killer then steps on Chubacca’s chest and points his gun at his victim. The now blind and defenseless townsperson screams “No! Please don’t!” but the mafia shows no mercy.
Chubacca is shot multiple times at point blank range.
As the surviving men assemble once again to investigate and deal justice, a note is found under the mayor’s door that reads:
Don't dare to play any more games
I am the deliverance of a city's shame
Sip your wine, drink to die
Or let me come, and let me serve to grieving's cause,
The town of shambles will be wrapped with gause,
And in wilting numbers you will not be as a spartan,
While I will be worth more than 300 with just this trigger hand,
You will crumble within the recepercussions of merely one more kill,
Give in now, or else let all your efforts be only for a cheap thrill,
At the cost of your livelihood, and the streets flood of "innocent blood".
It is obvious that the mafia want the town to surrender to their tyranny, but NerdyTerdy firmly stated that they shall never give in. It is time for the town to fight back and show the mafia that their vile crimes will not go unpunished.
* Day 3 Start *Half of these clues are REALLY hard - they require at least 3 logical steps to solve. Good luck.
Nerdy, don't forget that you have two votes each day. Just a reminder.
Town, do your job.
