I quit SC a while back, and it occured to me recently that I didn't need any of the maps I was working on anymore.
None of these were ever anywhere near finished and most were abandoned, but there's still some good terrain and such.
If you're in need of terrain, just download these and see if you can get any ideas, or feel free to use and edit the map itself (feel free to change the units and triggers and all that too).

These maps are very good =)
I may make use of the first one "Map in progress", and I will credit you for the terrain, if you'd like. Let me know.

Sure, you can give me credit, you might want to in case people walk up to you and ask how you did the terrain (and you have no idea =P) XD.
Oh and by the way, I think I used the wrong null tile, you may want to fix it. It's supposed to be the kind of null that units can walk onto and then go crazy (they act like they're constantly "jumping" another unit or whatever, until they hit normal ground - perfect zero-gravity effect =P). It's supposed to be space, and the little areas of creep are supposed to be planets (note that creep on null doesn't withdraw once the source is destroyed. It occured to me later that you could do a non-creep producing zerg building and then destroy it by trigger, and it would leave behind it's creep, allowing you to make your planets smaller and in various shapes, like I did in "Project," you may want to try that.)
I can give you the original storyline for the map if you want, although I probably won't remember it very well.
None.
i dont know about the storyline/gameplay/everything else but after scanning over everything the terrain was blocky where you did custom stuff and pretty basic.
None.
I'm not sure what you're talking about, most of the terrain I did wasn't very blocky.
None.
I dont mean to tear you down or anything but.
I think all of these can be polished up pretty easy, just look at falkoners terrain compilation or something and see where parts can be used to make things less blocky.

Ah, ok. Like I said, these were abandoned projects, so those probably weren't finished (and some of them probably can't be fixed, ie, the waterfall).
If you don't like it, either change it or don't use it

How would you fix the dirt > null ?
I'm interested.
None.
with shadows from cloaked unit buildings...
Collapse Box
but i doubt it is worth it.

How should I credit you? Is Jesusfreak your bnet account as well?

Creep. Creep rounds off null perfectly =). For the ones by the cliffs though, you might have to use sprites or just live with it (I doubt most b.net users will care if the edge of the world is a bit blocky). Or R00k's idea works too, although I don't get what it is... oh, lifted cloaked buildings giving off shadows... NICE...

Yes, Jesusfreak[LF], although I probably won't be in LF much longer.
By the way, I started playing SC again =D.
