While I haven't tried horse meat myself I have heard that its delicious, even better than chicken/cow/pig. The main reason there isn't a huge market for it is because many people are opposed to eating horse for some reason or another.
Cats are far less useful than dogs. Internet memes, anime-loving girl nerds and lonely old ladies have just made them stupid in my mind.

Oh and wasn't it dogs that ate the corpse of Jezebel in the Bible? Or was it someone else... someone's corpse got eaten by dogs, I remember that...

1) Giraffe - Isn't a primary source of food for any animal, has not helped with any civilization in a major way, etc.
2) Pigeon - They clean so poorly that we need people to clean after them. NEXT!
3) Dog - They're cute and they scare wolves away, but in this day and age, CATS FTW.

2 of those animals have enormous uses...

Carrier pigeons. Dogs work, unlike freeloading cats. (Rescue dogs, bomb sniffing dogs, cancer sniffing dogs, seeing eye dogs, hearing ear dogs, actor dogs, etc.)

But Giraffe....what do THEY do?

I've had both, cats and dogs. I'd rather have a dog then a cat. Cat's are nice and playful but they are attention whores. Don't get me wrong, my dog was one too. But I'd rather cuttle up with my dog "big sexy" rather then a cat. Plus, my dog chomped her teeth when she wants to go outside. She "knocked" (scratched) at the door when she wanted to come in. She also chomped her teeth when she needed things. For instance, at the dinner table she'd chomp her teeth if she wanted to be feed from the table, often did. Etc...

Plain and simple (lol @ title), dogs can sniff for bombs and drugs, and cats, well, they can throw up all over your rug.

Iunno.

Although I have to say, since I'm a biologist... that Every animal has its own niche and necessities in their own community... there are a few that I feel are quite useless... :\ ..

1) Pandas
I think someone posted an image of it already... lol..
They're dying due to the lost of habitat in China.. but there's no way to go back now... They can't breed well... even if we save them, their entire population would not have much genetic variation and therefore be VERY susceptible to any epidemics... namely.. a good disease would wipe out the entire population... kinda like Cheetahs right now.

2) Parasitic Worms
.. Other than limiting the african human population... .. yeah.

3) SeaStars
They eat clams.. which are now sorta threatened due to the high levels of toxicity in waters.. since clams are filter feeders, they filter all the toxic chemicals too... So we're losing clams.. and they come along and eat them..
What's worse.. they also eat Corals.. as in the corals from coral reefs... The Crown of thorns are growing like crazy due to fertilizers running off into the reefs.. and they're eating away our reefs!! NOO
and they're ugly.. have no eyes... and walk slow.. and can't be eaten..
Fuck, at least Sea Urchins can be eaten.. :\... .. they're tasty too
