I recently decided it would be an interesting concept to make a map, with a large amount of AI interaction. This map, "Phantom RPG", would be a fairly normal RPG for most of the players, while one of these players, chosen at random, builds up power through AI interaction.
Here is where I run into a problem in my thoughts. The "phantom" can take over a host and manipulate AI characters to gain power and forces. Each of the characters the "phantom" takes over will gain his persuasion to take over more important hosts. Though each of these hosts will interact differently with different characters. In addition to this, I want to add some sort of persuasion to it, instead of just fixed conversations so that it gives the feeling of evil domination.
In short, I want to have the character to make decisions to make himself/herself more powerful in the AI society. I am not quite sure out to add the affect of persuasion without adding millions of lines of text for every possible outcome. If needed, ask questions regarding what I mean.....I find the concept somewhat hard to explain.

None.
For sake of example....
Say you took over the kings adviser....Now you can advise the king to do many many things. However, a player could order warriors to go fight, suggest to the king to wage war, make peace with a certain nation, etc. While if your someone such as a tavern keeper, you could ask for information, hire and assassin, serve beer for trust, etc. How would I incorporate all these different choices for different forms the phantom takes over, for all the possible people the person can talk to?

i dont think theres really any way to avoid using dialog via strings and a lot of it. Its a great idea nonetheless.

An idea like this could be evolved into much more than a SC map. It wouldnt be worth the time on SC.

I was thinking maybe using a Gateway to make decisions....such as
:Current Player brings 1 Arbiter to Location 1
Current Player brings 1 Bartender to Location "Impersonation"
Current Player brings 1 Phantom to Location "King"
:Display text for current player "King: I will allow you to open a new tavern."
Give current player 1 Construction Worker
Enable "Factory" for current player
Now that I think about this, I remember seeing a thread a long time ago similar to this. It was in regards to making a Grand Theft Auto map.
