Please note that the
Serious Discussion Rules have been rewritten. A lot of them are the same. Some things have been made more clear or become more consolidated. Some deficencies have been corrected. The rules may be a bit more strict, but I have determined it necessary to make the ammunition moderators need to maintain high-quality discussion available.
I ask all members to read through the Serious Discussion rules again before participating in this forum.
Also, if you had not noticed already,
Vrael has become a moderator of Serious Discussion.
Thank you.
Relatively ancient and inactive
And since Falkoner said it, we know it's not true.
I wouldn't make Vrael the moderator here based on his argumentation - too messy - but he probably has the fairness needed. Now, here's to hoping that he won't moderate much!
None.
If you followed the Zeigest SD topic you se how Vrael > AofST and is definitely worthy of it. I just wish he was replacing one on the existing 3.
So now we have a science/math guy(AofST)
A philosophical guy (Vrael)
A religious guy (Millennium)
And a Grammar Nazi (DapperDan)
It's still sad that we don't have AntiSleep anymore who could do it all and better.

I demand a religious guy!
None.
I demand a religious guy!
MA could be considered that 'guy'...?
None.
We need a smart guy is what we need
/me misses Captain Will.
None.
There is a spelling mistake on that topic on #5. I thought people were supposed to read through it?
None.

Why do i get this tingling sensation that the first two feel more like compliments? -_-
None.
Moose, stop posting these types of topics in forums. Seriously. They don't belong.
Obviously a topic of this nature isn't serious discussion, nor the previous one a SC2 topic.

Lies.
I say we did what the economists do and follow the principle of no regulation (well, maybe a bit). Also, Moose, that avatar makes you look very... serious. Who's that?
None.

More like "pothead".

Yea, especially since I can't post in SD

The goal is to notify as many people who visit Serious Discussion that there has been a change there. Not all readers and participants of Serious Discussion also visit Staredit Network. Nor do all readers of Staredit Network also participate in Serious Discussion. Therefore, the most effective way of notifying everyone who actively participates in or reads Serious Discussion of a change that affects only the Serious Discussion forum (and therefore also maximize the relevance of the notification to the reader) is to open a topic in Serious Discussion itself.

Change the rule topic title to blah blah UPDATED 3/01/09
Anyone who needs to know who the mod is could look at the forum page itself, I don't see a reason why a change of mods would drastically alter things.
Fixed.
None.
You have provided an alternative method but have not addressed my logic at all. More specifically, it does not tell them of both the changes. There is no reason that everyone should not be informed of a moderator change. There is no reason why they should have to look in another forum to find updates for a different forum.
Essentially, all you've implied to me is that you don't like my method because you wouldn't do it.

I agree with moose.
Also, why was Rantent's post the only one deleted? This topic is a mess.

Not drastic or of real importance?
Moderators should be pretty transparent. Either they see something wrong and take action themselves or answers a report.

I can see your logic, but at the same time, it's not completely logical. See below.
Essentially, all you've implied to me is that you don't like my method because you wouldn't do it.
No, I already stated it's not a topic that is of forum <whatever> nature. A mod change isn't a SC2 topic, a SD topic, etc.
I suppose the best method would be to bring back announcements if you really wanted to do this.
We are off topic now. Admins going off topic. Eh.
None.
