Shuriken

Shuriken is a skillful team-battle game. You select from 6 entirely unique heroes and work as a team to eliminate your opponents. Each hero has 3 main spells and a heal ability. The heroes are designed for spell combining, which involve hunting/chasing enemies, various defensive skills and ultimate spells, which mostly determine if the hero is specified for support, damage or hunting. Each hero has their strengths and drawbacks, very well balanced. You can upgrade your hero in various ways, such as leveling spells, improving mana, gaining damage or increasing spawn number.

Strygwyr (Firebat)
Type
Strength / Massive spash damage
Summary
An unusual hybrid of Demon and Orc, Str-
ygwyr is unique from all the mortal crea-
tures. He is most famed for his ability to
render himself invulnerable and gain mas-
sive attack damage.
Spells
Follow - Teleports you to a nearby enemy hero
Stealth - Invulnerability for 3 seconds
Bloodrage - Gains four times damage for 3 seconds

Destroyer (Dragoon)
Type
Support / Hunting
Summary
Destroyer has the power to repel and s-
ilence enemies, which makes him great at
saving allies. His ability to switch his loc-
ation with enemies also makes him a goo-
d hunter.
Spells
Switch - Swaps your location with an enemy hero
Silence - Stops enemy heroes from using spells for 3 seconds
Repel - Forces all surrounding enemies to repel from you

Dryad (Ultralisk)
Type
Strength / Massive directed damage
Summary
His powerful voice and massive body all-
ow him to convince and direct the attack
of other creatures around him. Dryad n-
ever fails to kill.
Spells
Flash - Teleports all nearby enemy heroes to your location
Teleport - You teleport yourself to your healing zone
Convince - Gains direction of all surrounding creatures, killing enemy creatures for the same amount convinced

Weaver (Ghost)
Type
Strength / Support
Summary
His mind, shrouded in darkness, this pow-
erful creature has the ability to influence
time, allowing him to hunt his enemies an-
d avoid death.
Spells
Follow - Teleports you to a nearby enemy hero
Time Travel - Travel back 20 seconds in time
Diffuse - Stun all surrounding enemy heroes for 3 seconds

Gondar (Dark Templar)
Type
Hunting / Damage
Summary
Gondar uses his superior hunting skills to
kill his prey. His ability to throw shuriken-
s and evade most targeted damage mak-
es him deadly.
Spells
Shadow - Invisibility for 5 seconds
Shuriken - Instantly throws a shuriken at 700 damage
Backtrack - Disrupts the movement of enemy heroes for 5 seconds

Shadow Shaman (Hydralisk)
Type
Support / Hunting
Summary
Shadow Shaman is a powerful shadow hu-
nter. His ability to shatter the fighting s-
kills of strong enemies makes him a high-
ly valued support Hero.
Spells
Flash - Teleports all nearby enemy heroes to your location
Silence - Stops enemy heroes from using spells for 3 seconds
Berserk - Berserks and shatters the fighting potential of enemy heroes for 3 seconds

This is just your "Synergy of Heroes" thing, renamed...

And you need more than six heroes, especially if you are going to compare it to Temple Siege.

nono.. well.. its sort of like hero synergy.. however its completely rebuilt. new heroes/spells.. new selection system.. new upgrading system.. loads of cool new stuff... its a totaly different map.

DotA is fun, Temple Siege is fun, so what's the problem with AoSs? Calling things "DotA ripoffs" is like calling Dead Space a Halo ripoff. Or calling StarCraft a WarCraft 2 ripoff. Now, plz stop arguing about this?

Anyway, you still need moar details. How is this different than your first AoS?

guys just play the dam map and then tell me what you think lol! its a team game so try and get at least a 2v2 going. 3v3 should be loads of fun. remember to make good use of your spells, and remember all the heroes play a different role in the game. dont forget to upgrade your spells/weapons/mana and spawn number.

What's so hard about telling us what's different? Is it JUST the spells? Why should we waste time d/l'ing it if you aren't willing to really talk about it? At least you've gotten enough attention to get some posts. Be thankful and produce.

Oh and another thing... I agree that names aren't everything, and uniqueness isn't everything if it's just plain better and overall different. However, seeing you use the same unit names in TWO different maps, which aren't even your own naming (right? I haven't played wc3 much at all so)... that's pretty lazy.

Anyways, destroyer seems to have a pretty stupid name... at least if you look at the purpose you gave it.

okay okay so its basicaly an upgrade from hero synergy. the changes are as follows:

new hero selection
new terrain
2 new heroes
reworked all heroes
upgradable spells
upgradable mana
upgradable spawn
glitch-free
easier download

Hey guys.. Don't underestimate the map until you play it I'd say.. and Temple Siege don't have good hero names either.. like.. "Medic.. Assassin .... Archer.. .." :P... At least this map has a hero name that is unpronouncable.. "Styrgwyr"?? ftw?

Anyway.. I'd like to give this a go, since i haven't had time to play hero of synergy... The important thing is to see if 3 spells are enough =o.

I think anyone who "estimated" the map in anyway has play it or played synergy of heros soz, yea. Temple siege has the "simple" thing going for it so yea...

That's also the name of a minor character from The Chronicles of Amber, which is a series of fantasy novels that has nothing to do with DotA.

Anyway, I still think you should add more heroes... I can give you some ideas if you want.

yeh i guess 6 heroes isnt much of a variety. i will spend some time thinking about what heroes to add. i want them to be unique though. and im sort of fed up of summoning spells so i dont want that, its just so over-used. any ideas?

Here are some ideas:

ARCANE TREBUCHET (Siege Tank)
A piece of siege equipment animated in a similar way to the way a golem is created. Focuses on long-ranged attacks. Devastating to melee units, but weak against ranged units.

SPELLS:
  • Deploy: Siege mode. While Deployed, he may not cast any spells. (Use Commands to detect when the player presses the Siege Mode button. If he doesn't have enough mana to cast the spell, Give Units the tank to a computer and attack it with a Hallucination of some melee unit to make it unsiege and Give it back.)
  • Mage Boulder: Spawns a Science Vessel which can cast Irradiate once. It can move a small distance from the Arcane Trebuchet.
  • Fireboulder: Creates a Dark Archon (no spells). Any unit within a few tiles of the Dark Archon is slowly damaged (a cloaked Wraith attacks it) until it gets out of range. The Dark Archon lasts until it is destroyed, or a limited time (20 seconds or so) passes.
NOTE:You should use a Medic to remove the Science Vessel's Detection ability with Optical Flare. Also, you could give the Science Vessel EMP Shockwave in addition to Irradiate if you wanted to.


TRAP MASTER (Defiler)
A master of all sorts of traps who makes up for his lack of normal combat skills with powerful wards and explosives.
SPELLS:
  • Flame Trap: The Trap Master gains enough energy to cast Dark Swarm once. The Dark Swarm turns into a Spider Mine.
  • Remote Detonation Trap: The Trap Master gains enough energy to cast Dark Swarm once. The Dark Swarm turns into a burrowed Zerg unit. If the Trap Master usess Burrowing, the unit explodes, dealing damage to anything nearby.
  • Explosive Aura: The Trap Master gains enough energy to cast Dark Swarm once. He must cast the Dark Swarm on a spawned unit. In a few seconds, the targeted unit explodes, instantly killing it and damaging everything nearby.
NOTE: He uses the Dark Swarms to select where his spells go off.


PHANTOM GUNNER (Infested Duran)
A mysterious warrior who is capable of vanishing into the shadows and manipulating shadow in strange ways.
  • Power Storage: Creates a burrowed Zerg unit. If he moves too far from the unit, it goes to P12 until he moves back to it. He can use Consume on the unit for more energy for his cloaking spell.
  • Shadow Screen: Creates a Corsair above Phantom Gunner. It can use Distruption Web once.
  • Warping: The target unit begins to randomly teleport every few seconds. (Use a Junk Yard Dog Observer to decide where it teleports to.)
NOTE: He can use Cloaking and Consume. I'm not sure what the energy costs should be.

thanks for the ideas. im working on the new version now. im actually considering rebuilding the entire map, as the changes are as follows;

New terrain (requesting help)
Random option at hero selection
Time limit at hero selection
Optional tutorial
New spell leveling system
More mana upgrades
More spawn upgrades
More Towers
Improved leveling system
2 new heroes + 5 new spells
Improved respawning system
Improved spells
More gold for hero kills

You mean again? =P Is it necessary to rebuild the whole thing to implement those? I haven't gotten around to trying it yet, but yeah... rebuilding (and having released) twice is a sad affair. =P If you don't get burnt out, then that's good I guess, though.
