The sequences you're using are assuming things Nude. The sequence gives everything you need to guess the next two #'s, without making up patterns that haven't even finished occuring wiithin what I gave you so far. As in, there should be a pattern that you see in the #'s that has already reoccured before you get to the two blanks. I'm really not sure if yours work at all... in any case...

No one's gotten it yet. Later on today I'll give a hint if no one has gotten it yet. And that'll probably wrap it up. Maybe I should have specified to give me the 'simplest' solution. Not sure.

All right punks. Let's do this:
So there are a whole bunch of people (number is arbitrary but finite). They are lined up so they can see everyone in front of them. They are all wearing hats of colors either black or white, placed at random. Their goal is to guess the color of their own hat. The person who can see everyone else starts the process of guessing (note that he is only allowed to say black or white; any other word ends in his death). If he is wrong, he dies; if he is right, he lives. In either case, this continues until the last person who cannot see anyone. What is the best strategy to minimize death?

(If you already know the answer, don't spoil it :'()

Person 1 says the color of the hat on the person in front of him. (50% chance of living)
Person 2 repeats the color that the previous person said. (100% chance of living)
Person 3 says the color of the hat on the person in front of him (50% chance of living)
Person 4 repeats the color that the previous person said (100% chance of living)
....repeat the pattern until the end

EDIT: Here's a fairly easy riddle
There is a frog, dead in the middle of an island. If he swims north, the distance to the mainland is 2 meters. If he swims south, the distance to the mainland is 3 meters. If he swims east or west, the distance is 4 meters. Which way does he swim?

I guess we'll wrap mine up. Here's your hint... because apparently no one put much stock into Greo's very insightful post

Quote from Greo
The numbers are in order of number of letters in each number, with only the first two this way shown.

Nowhere. He's dead.

15 and 16?

Yay! Gj.

Look at the sequence THIS WAY, everyone...

one, two, four, five, three, seven, eleven, twelve, ___, ___

A little easier to notice the pattern of the letters, eh? Greo picked up on it, but apparently lost count between 7 & 8 letters... the simple part. I think it's your turn now, Drunken.

Three women were transformed into flowers which grew in the field, but one of them was allowed to be in her own home at night. Then once when the day was drawing near, and she was forced to go back to her companions in the field and become a flower again, she said to her husband, "If you will come this afternoon and gather me, I shall be set free and henceforth stay with you." And he did so. Now the question is, how did her husband know her, for the flowers were exactly alike, and without any difference. (If you know this, please don't ruin it.)

She transforms back into a human at night, collecty.

She'll only be set free if she is picked as a flower, so no.

No. Anything they do except say black or white ends in death.

This gives only 75% living rate. You're ok with letting 25% of the population die?!

Hint: The "best" solution results in, at worst, 1 death.

Alright... so we have two puzzles (cheeze' and drunken's) going at once... and I really don't get either them. Awesome.

He went back to the field with her and saw where she replanted herself?

Either he gathered all 3 flowers, or her flower was slightly different in some way due to her companions having experienced whatever happens to flowers at night.

As for cheeze's puzzle, I get the feeling that the answer relates to the fact that the 1st person can see how many hats of each color there are. I've heard something like his puzzle before....

When he went to gather the flowers, his wife yelled "here I am". Basically, if she can talk, then why couldn't she just tell him which one to pick when he got there?
