Full answer? Whatever.
From where I stand, the sun doesn't rise in the east, or set in the west. I look out my window and see a bear. What color is it?
None.
No to both, and I forgot to mention he can only gather one. He also has one chance.
Hmm...Well, I'm stumped. I was hoping it had something to do with her not being a flower during the night, but the only thing I could think of that happened to flowers and plants at night would be that they would have dew on them by the morning, which would be gone by the afternoon.
Is there any sort of night-time animal that somehow influences flowers at night? Nocturnal bees?
None.

When he went to gather the flowers, his wife yelled "here I am". Basically, if she can talk, then why couldn't she just tell him which one to pick when he got there?
She can't talk when she's a flower.

Ignore my riddle, as due to poor word choice it has been deemed as unsolvable. If you want to know the answer, it was since the woman was at home during the night, she wouldn't have dew on her, distinguishing her from the others. However, as stated by Oyen, the dew would be gone by the afternoon. Sorry about that. I blame the Brothers Grimm.

Polly Perkins was after a talking parrot, so she went to the local pet shop in the hope of securing such a find. She was in luck. The shop assistant assured her that the parrot would learn and repeat any word or phrase it heard. Polly was delighted. However, a week later, the parrot still hadn't spoken a word. Polly returned to the shop to complain, however, it appeared that the assistant was accurate in what he had said, and refused a refund. Why didn't the parrot talk?

All right punks. Let's do this:
So there are a whole bunch of people (number is arbitrary but finite). They are lined up so they can see everyone in front of them. They are all wearing hats of colors either black or white, placed at random. Their goal is to guess the color of their own hat. The person who can see everyone else starts the process of guessing (note that he is only allowed to say black or white; any other word ends in his death). If he is wrong, he dies; if he is right, he lives. In either case, this continues until the last person who cannot see anyone. What is the best strategy to minimize death?
(If you already know the answer, don't spoil it :'()
You didn't specify that they are allowed to discuss how they are going to approach the problem before they are put in the situation... The only solutions I know depend on that.
That's usually what strategy means but yeah, they can talk before the scenario starts. (Do you know the answer?!
)
None.
