Uploaded some updates pertaining to the forums/moderation/scp. Still working on things and will be hopefully uploading new files all night. I'll write out a complete list later, but the most obvious is the return of regulars/veterans/elites.
Icons atm:
regular
veteran
elite

All status updates will be on admin approval only, as to avoid people spamming to get to different tiers.
Atm, there is no real benefits of moving to a different tier, as I still have to upload other scripts.

Edit: I just updated a few members that were online at the time, the rest will come later. So don't feel left out yet.

I thought for sure they would be based on activity, as in time on the site, as well as admin approval.

That's kinda how it works, your name pops up on a list based on activity / posts / other stuff. However you don't necessarily need to be on the list at all to be moved.

So sometime we'll be able to see how the script works exactly? As in, we can see something like.. 50 activity to be set onto member status waiting list, 100 activity for regular, and like 300 for elite?

I don't think the exact details of it should be revealed, especially if it's somewhat based on posting, because then people may be motivated to spam more just to reach a certain status.

I'm not sure. I'm leaning towards no. Maybe if a member has a certain name color and they get an icon then they can have their icon match their name color. But other than that I think there should be a certain level of uniformity.

For example.. That golden circle, what if I want it to be blue? Instead of having ONLY golden icons, have blue, red, gold, grey and so on.

It wouldn't be confusing since it is the shape and design of the icon that defines its status, not the color.

Now that I think about it, it wouldn't look very nice, at all. It would probably be better to just allow higher status members to have a few color options, but where the majority of the population would be (member/pie (assuming pie even has an icon)) would all be uniform.

And rename sen to parrotedit.net and call it PET for short.

It's already going too far with all the variety in place right now. I do not oppose to having icons next to names but just feel like making them part of the composition sen forms is a must right now.

Yeah it would look tacky.. Sort of cheap and thrown together.

How about if the icons are made to look like Windows Vista style? As in shiny and translucent?

The circle definitely needs to be edited, maybe smaller and thinner.
Semi-transparent might be a good idea too, sure.

IP it doesn't look like a circle IMO, it looks like a donuted squircle. Maybe it's how it's zoomed.

Also FlyingHat made the images, so thanks to him. I think they show off moving up in tiers appropriately with such little space to work with.

Having an icon just means so much less now. Perhaps I will find your other promised updates more promising.

I say go back to the colored name ranks. All the icons are just confusing, especially considering that none of those symbols seem to mean anything.

I was thinking the same thing devlin. People should still have the ability to customize their own text they display, as how mine is purple in the shoutbox.

Colored names for rank, IMO, is a much cleaner system than icons.

Although, I really do like the idea of Vista style icons for moderators and admins, and so on.
